I've had my model 3 for 4-1/2 years. It's been the best car I've ever had, it is still a joy to drive. Two improvements I would like to see is split A/C fans for the front seat, and something to keep rain from obscuring the rear camera.

Also 2019 Model 3 owner here. Love the new car. I am in the 'bringbackthestalks' camp though. Also, it would be cool if Tesla implemented headlight heaters. Since there's no engine or halogen bulbs, front lights stay frozen over.

great car. what I'm missing is: 1. USS (got them on my M3 from 11.21), 2. front bumper cam 3. ski load through 4. stalks for indicator and gear (replacement buttons on the steering wheel & the ceiling is silly idea) 5. reasonable mount for roof rack, without the need to lift roof seals 6. electric towing hitch 7. reliably working speed limit recognition/application. if there can be a perfect car at all, this would do it for me. I still love mine though 🤩

Cruise plus minus buttons and a paddle brake for regen. It still had a stalk you had to reach for to signal a turn. A button on the steering wheel for the turn signal would have been so much better. Tesla should add a hand brake if anything. Pedals are pointless. No pedal driving is better than one pedal driving.

Tested it the other day. Great improvements overall! I really didn't like the new turn signal buttons on the wheel though. It was very annoying to use in tight roundabouts. It even felt unsafe because I constantly had to look down at the wheel to use them, with other cars all around me, and I often lost overview and became distracted because of it. That's the only thing that really keeps me from buying one at the moment. I need to give it some more thought. Ideally, it should come with stalks for the EU market because, unlike the US, we tend to use lots of tight roundabouts everywhere instead of intersections. It's not a problem in intersections, or when going more or less straight, but tight roundabouts require you to turn the wheel a lot and you then lose track of the buttons. I told the salesman that I loved the car, except for one thing, and before I could finish the sentence he said: Yeah, the turn signals, I know. So clearly it's not just me. I hope they change this or make it optional.

Things I’d like to see added: dual zone multi-function physical dials below the central display (one for driver, one for passenger). Presses of either of the dials switches them between modes for HVAC and heated and ventilated seats, and turning the weighted, dampened metal dials adjusts the power setting. Abstracting some of these basic everyday features to these two physical dials would be a godsend for the Tesla user experience, while retaining interior minimalism by giving the dials those three, four or even five features the user can choose between. The round dials could have built-in displays to show the current selected setting (e.g. 66° for climate, an image of a red seat for heated seating, or a blue seat for ventilated seating), and upon changing the function with a press the newly selected setting could also be reflected on the big screen, so a user can physically feel for the dial and see a big representation of what’s happening on the big screen, allowing for the best of both worlds-tactility and large visual cues. The second thing I’d like to see is four Qi2 magnetic charging pads. Two up front and two in the rear-one on the back of each seat. Qi2 charging is the future and magnetic charging at 15W ensures passengers can grab a quick perfectly aligned charge every time. The third thing I’d like to see is the return of turn indicator stalks. They are safer and nicer to use as they are always in the same location. And knowing my inclination for comfort I’d like even sorter more robust suspension. I’m aware the new Model 3 has softer suspension, and I’ve watched reviews and videos… but I’d like to see an option for an even softer more cushiony ride. In Ireland our roads are quite bumpy and I’d like to see even further comfort in this area.

Not for long. Even with the 'refreshed' look it's still pretty 'fugly'. I get that Tesla has a minimalist, function-over-form style but they could at least try to make it look cool for the price. There's a lot of competition now, particularly EV's from China. Whilst most Chinese EV's look bad too, there are some that look seriously good and for a much better price than the Model 3. There's a British car brand owned by China called MG, they released the MG4 last year in Europe and it looks so nice. You can buy a top of the range MG4 Trophy in the UK for about 10k LESS than a bottom of the range Tesla Model 3. MG4 was the most awarded, best selling EV in Britain last year for this reason, style plus affordability. Tesla needs to catch up on both.
