BD uses hydraulic actuators. Tesla uses the electric actuators. If you look at CNC machines they all use electric motors or rails. Accurate with very small movements.

Will you stop deceitfully using Optimus "Gen 3" in your video thumbnails - you've done this multiple times. There is no Gen 3 Optimus!

For me for personal use the optimus makes the most sense. However for military that uses dogs and such maybe the Boston Dynamics makes sense for those jobs.

This sounds like something my grandfather would say.

When SHTF, I would love to have a small army of dedicated bots bent on protecting my clan. Realistically, I am now technically elderly and would love to have just one that will empty my bed pan and maybe, at my request, terminate me nicely. I think its time to install an Optimus on each Starship, to fix the odd door or crank start an engine if needed.

Starship gets bots to the asteroids for mining then, Elon becomes very rich. About one Nickle Iron asteroid 1km diameter is the entire worlds Nickle/Iron production.

They should show how the Gen 3 falls and get up again . Which is bound to happen on a bipedal robot .

In order to get humanoid bipedal robots to not look like elderly people when walking, developers need to work on the robotic equivalent to fast twitch muscle fibers. When humans first start walking, the leading step is usually propelled with a quick short push. Much of the motion in walking is inertia based.

Boston Dynamic is advancing robotics but can they mass produce at a price that will make a difference to the world. Only the rich can afford these bots. When Elon says 10Billion bots he is talking about one or even two bots per person. That is a different scenario.

The battle rages on between man and machine. While Boston Dynamics' Spot represents the cutting edge of controlled robotics, Tesla's Optimus embodies the wild frontier of artificial intelligence. Elon Musk must forge a path where this new breed of autonomous androids remains an ally to humanity, not our conquerors. The future will be written by whichever side has the stronger will to fight for freedom and progress.

@@23chnge While other countries push robotics forward, America's spirit of innovation shall not be outshined! Boston Dynamics' works are impressive, but a true champion must be tested on the battlefield of industry. Tesla's vision, if realized, could remake the very foundations of labour.
