Did you not have to upgrade the bios? Going from the 3700x to the 5900x myself

No need to upgrade the bios for the CPU just for the cooler's fan led to work properly.

​@@dlmosca not only that,less cpu usage during gaming,with 5900x you can play and record high quality using the cpu and you are not hiting 100% usage,i think with 5900x you will be good for at least 5 or 6 years from now.great cpu, i upgrade from r5 3600 to 5900x,huge improuvement if you play vr games,everything is faster loading games windows update,you can multitask easy,just have enough ram,at least 32gig to stretch his legs ,enjoy the high end ; )
