India was lucky that they have a leader like Nehru who managed Indian affairs well and encouraged democracy. In addition, India was a well recognized country in the world. India became member of UN in 1945. India had its well established capital. India had its GHQ. India had its Parliament. India had its Supreme Court Building. India had its well established bureacracy. India had everything. Pakistan have had nothing, divided into two parts, East Pakistan (present day Bangladesh) and West Pakistan, in between them is a 1000 miles India. We started construction of Islamabad our capital in 1960 whereas New Delhi was contructed by the British rulers. In 1947 Pakistan internationally was an unknown country whereas India was a well known and well recognised country. India at present have 500 billion dollar forex reserves (which COVID-19 will eat and finish) and its population is 1500 million whereas Saudi Arabia had more than 500 billiob dollar forex reserves and its population is merely 35 million. Singapore have more than 500 billion dollar forex resrves and its population is merely 5 million. Taiwan have 400 billion dollars forex reserves and its population is less tha 10 million. Whither India is going? For what you are proud of India, there is abjest poverty in India or there 200 million miserable Dalits in India who are at the bottom of Hindu caste system.

India as a country is not just dependent on its foreign reserves. Foreign reserves is a better representation of federal government. You forgot those days when india had to take loan from Japan to run its economy and simple ! percent tax on people brought enough money to the system to function the government. Indian is not dependent on some aid by foreign agencies and its vast economy is dependent on their people which still holds enormous amount of money in form of gold. Yeah india is poor but you still missed the fact that how many people were bought out of poverty in last 20 years. In absolute terms numbers are enormous and India had come a long way to come out of such problems. Saudi arabia is a different story they depend on single industry we dont. Your understanding of india is little weak. You just start counting how much wealth india will get in tough time like covid-19 just by supplying medicines. Saudi arabia-- oil industry India- pharma, education, agriculture, IT, banking, behemoth consumption economy, auto, health India is a much much stronger economy than saudi arabia. Even at tough time we can always restart from agriculture and if india stops oil imports where does saudi arabia stands then. india gold reserve stands at 30 billion dollars while just from a temple we recovered 22 billion dollar of gold so you are just undermining the amount of gold india currently have because nobody can tell the illegal gold imports of india. Even temples economy in india is much bigger than many UN nation. Saudi arabia wealth direct representation of their government there is nothing deep into it. RBI too have 40 billion dollars in their balance sheet so dont worry India will survive anyhow.

@@msriv1410 after indo oak war un proposed a free and fare elections for the future of kashmir which never happened .i was also shocked to hear this as we were never tood about that incident. Both pak and indo govt are traiters they're risking life of many Kashmiris so that they can get an edge in politics by using nationalist sentiments. Section 144 is implemented in kashmir for over a year ..they have no access to internet ,living under constant fear and surveillance. Imagine yourself in their position then you might find what is really going on. I am indian and i love india but loving india is not equal to loving political parties 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

Excellent replies by Dr Tharoor. The problem lies in the reason behind the nature of creation of Pakistan. A religion can’t bind a diverse set of people. They lost East Pakistan. They have alienated most of the people in other constituencies. The traditionally rich and mighty are not ready to pass on the power to the masses. It is facing economic problems. And it is focused on fighting on for Kashmir rather than focus on living with what they have. Very soon Pakistan will splinter further.

Absolutely calm .hats off to shashi tharoor.does not get flustered or hassled. He knows the background ver well.

Medhi’s body language and his tone is very much on the aggressive and he looks kore on the attack then wanting to interview. There are many great interview lessons on KZread you can watch and I suggest you do then you will understand how to interview someone.

I don't like the journalists who asked questions but refused to listen.

Definitely Shashi Tharoor have replied in a reasonably good manner. Had the same questions been asked with Jayshankarji or Yogiji or Amit Shah the replies would definitely kill the questions itself.

Such a brilliant man, I wish he was more independent instead of under Congress's Thumb. I love his demeanor, courage, and patience with such futile remarks. A beacon for Indian spokespeople and young politicians. Learn from his mistakes and gain from his knowledge!

Everyone here, ofcourse most are Indians only appraising Dr. Shashi. I really like and respect Dr. Shashi, but I also cherished the way Mehdi asked his questions. Dr. Shashi too knew it all that it was truth questions. Mehdi told he that "you knew I knew it that it didn't start with the terrorism" about indian army in Kashmir, Dr. Shashi didn't hesitate to acknowledge that. But all of you young indians who doesn't necessarily know the history will keep beefing on Mehdi, who is more knowledgeable than most of your parents about Indian history especially on Kashmir, Pakistan and so on.

These are the exalted high flying cranes, whose intercession is hoped for.” When things did not go well with the Meccans, Mohammed and his followers were forced to flee from Mecca to Medina. The praise for Meccan goddesses then seemed not only unnecessary but profoundly embarrassing for Mohammed and so he told his followers that Gabriel had appeared to Mohammed and informed him that it had been the devil and not, he, Gabriel that had revealed the verse praising the Meccan goddesses. Of course this created a further problem for Muslims, as Mohammed himself had told his followers that at least one of verses that was “revealed” to him by Gabriel, had in fact been in error. Worse, much worse, Mohammed had revealed that he was unable to distinguish the devil from the Archangel Gabriel, leading many to wonder how many other Suras and traditions had also been diabolically inspired. Realizing the damage that the satanic verses incidents caused Islam more modern Islamic scholars have attempted (unconvincingly to most non-Muslim authorities) to discredit the incident. Verses were added to the Koran to attempt to abrogate (change) the satanic verses (Sura 53:19-20), Tabari VI-107. Certainly if one looks at the application of Islam worldwide since its inception in the 7th century, it would be hard to argue that its diabolical inspiration does not seem clear. In its unrelenting quest for world conquest by any means the Islamic ideology has been the worst source of human misery in history. Some sources put the death toll of Islamic wars and slave trade as high as 670 million. The greatest genocide in history was during the Islamic conquest of Afghanistan, Pakistan and parts of India during which between 60 and 100 million, Hindus, Buddhists and others were slaughtered. The mountain range between Afghanistan and Pakistan, the Hindu Kush, in English means Hindu death and commemorates that genocide. The last bastion of slavery on earth is in the Islamic nations.
