Great job, been researching all about the villages lately, come across your channel the most. You've been tons of help btw, still have a lot more to look into, the garage may be a big issue though, especially if most of them are all the same, I'm about to buy 1 ton truck and it wouldn't fit in your size garage (it's 20' long) plus i'll have a golf cart and my 06' heritage softail, and according to some research of deed restrictions, you can't park anything bigger than a 3/4 ton pickup in your driveway, but not all areas are the same, so i'll keep looking into it, plus I'd also have to try and get in under the 80% ratio, as i'm only 50, and wife 42, but i am already retired, 5 1/2 years navy and 26 years as a correctional officer (hence my username lol) but wanted to say thank you for all your useful info and keep up the great videos, i enjoy them

Yeah the garage is a tough one but there some larger homes in some of the more exclusive villages that may have the garage space you need, I’ve seen some with 5 car garage. Anyway good luck brother, thanks for watching!

Chief - another great video. Thanks. You are living the good life. My last motorcycle was a 1998 carburetor Road King. Had it for 20 years, but had to get rid of it - age catches up with you. Question: I know the homes in The Villages are concrete block construction. But I see in the new homes the interior of the garages shows that concrete block construction, which looks ugly to me. Your interior looks like a nice finished drywall construction, which is what I’m used to in the Midwest with a finished garage. Can you give us more information on that? I have also seen some garages in Florida, at least in south Florida, that have some humidity issues and will have vents installed on the garage doors. Is that an issue where you are?

You can buy block and stucco, or stick with siding, or poured walls they build all three here, so just depends which one you buy but I still see all three being built here. My garage has those vents too it does get hot here in the summer but some people install a mini split so you can A/C your garage if you want.

Hi, thanks for putting out these videos. I've watched a few and they're really helping me visualize The Villages. I'm going to add TV to my list of places to check out in person. I've been looking at the houses online and saw a few I liked except for the color of the outside. Do you happen to know if the new homeowner can change (paint the stucco) the color of the house? And also, can you landscape as you wish? I enjoy gardening and that would be important to me. I saw your backyard in the video of your birdcage and it looks very lush, unlike other yards of the houses for sale. I'd like to create my own oasis but not sure if that's allowed. Thanks for any info!

Hi thanks for watching! So from what I understand most exterior changes like landscaping and paint color needs to be approved by the ARC, but I’m no expert, so I would suggest when shopping for your house you may want to check the rules for that particular area because there some differences depending on what area in the villages you buy, check with your realtor for sure as well they should be able to get your answer. @@TheVillagesChief Thanks for responding! I kinda thought it would be something that needed approval. I checked out your link, thanks for supplying it! Your video was very informative & helpful. Liked your tip on where to find that office. Little things like that help a lot and most people won't think to mention it. I went to the ARC site and peeked around, some of what I wanted to know was addressed and I'll delve into reading more of the rules when I have a chance. Just want to pick your brain one more time, please....when you renovate and won't be doing the work yourself, do you need to use a contractor from a Villages approved list or are you free to choose your own? I don't know if you did your own floors but you had someone fix your birdcage and your pavers, so I thought you would know. Thank you again!

Hi. I really like your videos. Does the Villages have a noise requirement for motorcycles? I have an older Dyna with an aftermarket Rhinehart 2 into 1 exhaust. It’s sweet sounding and not too loud but I would worry about all the old fart neighbors. Thank you sir.

You have a lovely house and a cool garage. Two Harleys? Nice. I used to have a 2004 Sportster but had to sell it when I moved to Central Florida from the Caribbean. I was a Harley girl. The Sportster was perfect because I'm a skinny girl and not that tall. So I had to go with the smaller Harley. 😅
