Welcome back to my Tesla Model Y journey, where I'm excited to share my latest experience with the Tesla Full Self-Driving (FSD) 12.3.4 update. Once again, I am trying to get the FSD 12.3.4 to take me all the way home in heavy traffic.
This time, the ride was smoother, and I had a better idea of what to expect.
A Calmer Commute with FSD 12.3.4
My daily drive from my industrial workplace to home is usually a test of patience. With FSD 12.3.4, however, things felt different. The update promised enhanced stability and more refined responses to the chaos of city traffic, and it delivered.
Easing Through Traffic: The FSD 12.3.4 Advantage
I recorded the entire journey home to show you how much smoother the ride was this time. The Tesla seemed more attuned to the ebb and flow of traffic, handling merges and lane changes subtly, making the commute less stressful.
The Technology at Work
As you watch the footage, you'll notice how FSD 12.3.4 navigates more efficiently, thanks to its advanced sensors and software. It felt like the system was learning and adapting, making my drive feel more natural and less like an experiment.
A Less Stressful Drive
Some moments still required my attention, but overall, the drive felt more intuitive. I relaxed more, trusting that the car could handle most situations. It's a step closer to a future where autonomous driving is a novelty and reliable reality.
Looking Ahead with Confidence
This ride was a glimpse into what driving could be like with continued advancements in FSD technology. While there's still work to be done, it's clear that we're on the right track.
Hop in and ride with me to experience the latest from Tesla FSD 12.3.4. It's not just a drive; it's an evolving journey toward a more relaxed and seamless commute.
Thanks for joining me!

I love it. I would like to have this on my work truck so I have more options to review my route when I'm working... It controls the speed by itself, so I don't have any reason to speed

Yeah, I keep thinking what happens if a human decides not to let you in at that point, it's left with little options. Thank you for the feedback. Lowered to -24db and I see it's still too high.

Tesla Self Driving being ready in a form of a robo-taxi acting like Waymo I predict before the end of 2025, but not necessarily self-driving on the roads. The main issue I see at the moment are highways. Because of the higher speeds and risk factor. It is also much harder to prove that AI works as intended in enough scenarios, to switch to it from v11 stack. There is a huge regulatory factor, and great opposition against Tesla, Musk and autonomic vehicles. So there might be many other things slowing down the implementation and adaptation of the technology. Also, a company needs to prove that the car can be trusted and is safe, or at least much safer than human-driven. In case of Tesla, it should be quite easy, fortunately. FSD will probably need to be supervised for a time, long enough to gather the necessary data. But it also means that there should not be software updates in that time. In this case, all disengagements would need to be recorded processed and recognized either as a potential crash or just a human decision. Also you would need to recreate the crash scenario and prove that FSD would really crash instead of stopping in the last second. Tough stuff. Now, how do you release updates to an autonomous system is another question. Unless we have a way to test the version in the simulation, or prove differently that a new version is not worse, it would be difficult to update the software approved by the official agency. I think that a lot of self-driving cars is our future. They work, their number is expanding and it is probably unstoppable. They are also much safer than human drivers. Waymo has almost 7 times fewer crashes than humans. But it is not operating on the highways, on which Tesla would. And serious incidents happen there, so a lot of negative publicity is almost unavoidable. Because even if an autonomous vehicle kills one person in the time human drivers kill 1000, it will still be a huge outrage, fake news, protests, etc.

Thank for taking the time to share this. I agree with the Waymo comparison. I experienced them on the Arizona city streets and they are smoothe. Definitely the highway is where I get the uneasiness exactly for the reason you stated, the higher speeds and likelihood that mistakes there would be much more costly. I do think self driving is coming and I'm very interested to see how it evolves over time.

_There is a....great opposition against Tesla, Musk and autonomic vehicles_ That is true, and for many reasons: Musk's hype and fantasy, over the last 8 years Musk's deplorable behavior at Twitter FSD is four years in beta, and still primitive Many people simply don't trust a self-driving computer We have Uber. Robo-taxi is not necessary!

Looks like a much smoother drive this time around! Seems like the merge is just another way to do it. Most of us like to get over as soon as we can, but some will ride it like a trail and move when it ends. Looks pretty good overall!
