I don’t know, when we were looking for apartments a lot of them didn’t take pets. So we waited a year and invested in a house. I would never imagine giving up a dog after 4 years but I guess it depends on the person. The way I look at it, a dog is a commitment. Hope you don’t get any more in the future once again when you’re not ready!

It's sad isn't it :( my rescue cat was 6 when I got him - had been with just one family since birth....6 years....and they gave him up because they moved to a place that didn't allow cat flaps. I know sometimes there's extenuating circumstances, but I have only had these cats 2 years and I already know that I could never give them up x

What don’t ‘you know’? Not everyone is in the position to invest in a house. People have to move in emergency circumstances sometimes. You sound so judgemental

Four years than you get rid of your pet? You are a bad person. Because you waited until she was much older than break her home. I dont like people that take animals than the animal dosent fit your life style so you get rid on it. Should of never took two dogs! She fine, look what you did to her. Take animals than dont have time for them or cant control it, Its your fault
