Hi, me and my husband are also retired ER and ICU nurses from the USA. Worked 37 yrs there and took early retirement 2019. Stayed in our condo in Mandaluyong city for few mons then built a farmhouse in Bulacan during the pandemic. Right before the pandemic also bought the property next to our farm and now we are building a private resort and event place. Could be called a retirement or just a venture to something else. Life is good.

I love your modern Bahay Kubo. The walls, posts and my ceiling are all covered with Amakan. We used solignum but I know we need to spray them once in a while. Good job 👌👍👌

Did you bring some cherimoya or Atemoya seeds ? I can’t grow atis here in Southern Cal, it gets too cold . I was told to get a bigger atis tree and might grow . If I ever build a house there, it will be a small native house and just a dirty kitchen and a western bathroom …wifey request

May I ask where in (or what part of) Bulacan? I thought Metro Manila has now extended out to Bulacan 🤭🤣. Are they still planning the new international airport expansion to be there in Bulacan? Anyway, I don’t hear any traffic noise. Glad you’re away from the main road and away from any businesses (specially late night karaoke)! Congrats on your early retirement.

@@mfrancisco4242 thanks for your comment.no I did not hire a contractor.I hired a foreman with people and contracted the price to build per stage.I also purchase all the materials myself..I pay them base on the work done weekly.I designed it myself.I made a video about buying and building a house,please watch I mentioned dos and dont.Goodluck😇 Goodluck
