Raad, our first experience with this region was stumbling across your KZread videos! The content of the dozens of videos we watched, helped us make our decision! We definitely needed to escape California and you helped us find this little hidden secret. The transition mentally was easy, but dealing with the builder, delays accentuated by 100° weather for a month straight last May was brutal. But several months of the seasonal change was enjoyable until the arctic freeze last week! My suggestion to anyone, considering moving here would be to have a realtor like Raad to help while you’re 1,000 miles away. Don’t know what we’d do without that comfort of having boots on the ground being our eyes, ears and voice Also, focus on why you left the state you did. Socal weather was nice, but that’s the only pro with a list of dozens of cons. I’ll take some summer heat and a reason to wipe the dust off my winter jackets shoulders 😮 Getting used to new highways, turnarounds and things to do comes pretty quick. Just be alert when driving and familiarize yourself with all highways, FM’s and you’ll be fine. Find a good church (Crossbridge Bulverde) Don’t forget to vote correctly and let’s keep this state at the top of the most desirable place to live list! It’s that way for a reason 😊.

Thank you too Ronald for taking the time to deliver valuable insight. These moves are never easy and there are pros and cons to all. Depending on the person. You’re right though, NB is not a cookie cutter town and that said is not for everyone. I vet perspective buyers all the time and really go deep into the well of WHY New Braunfels. Just so there’s no time wasted on either side.

Moving to New Braunfels 11 years ago was the BEST decision I made. New Braunfels gets BETTER every year! People, amenities, entertainment, convenience for travel choices and a caring, involved community. 😊

We moved here about 10 months ago from CA, no regrets leaving CA due to taxes and how the state is governed. It does get quite hot here, thought about installing an air conditioner in the garage. Now that we just went through an ICE Storm and power outage you realize you just need to be prepared for such things. People are more friendly here which is nice. Taxes are less here especially if your retired since your pension/401K are not taxed, also so many simple items cost less than in CA. No plans on moving if it does happen it would only be due to weather.

We left NB in 2019 to live on the east coast, then moved back here summer 2022 permanently! We missed so many things about this area. We've lived all over the world, and we chose to move back here :D 1) We moved here because Hill Country is so beautiful and the area has so much to offer, especially when you include all of the attractions and amenities btwn SA & Austin. NB is perfectly placed in the middle, with it's own special vibe. 2) The transition has been interesting since the weather here is much warmer than most places. And when we first moved to NB from SA in 2017, we thought - well it's a smaller town but we can just go to SA or Austin if we need anything. Turns our NB has everything we needed! So that makes the transition to moving here easy & it's growing to include even more amenities. 3) No regrets. Home is where you make it! No city is perfect. Every location we've lived in has pros and cons, so does NB. But each family has to decide where they want to spend their time. There's so much to enjoy in this area - for us - so there's no regrets!

Wow what a coincidence, Found your channel looking for checklist on new home construction and just noticed this video about New Braunfels and that's exactly where we are looking to move from Dallas, Tx. We want to be near Austin but not IN Austin. I love the Comal River there too and downtown. I'm a 100% Disabled Vet, do you know if the property tax exemption I get goes toward every kind of property, including these big ranches with 2 or more acres of land around New Braunfels? So ya look forward to checking out more of your videos!

We moved here 2 years ago from Bastrop 60 miles NE, we left 20 acres to downsize to a subdivision. People thought we were crazy! We truly love NB and embrace the culture and all the fun things to do! We love living in Veramendi because everyone here is new and we were all looking for new friends. We have a really big group we hang out with regularly, about 20 of us empty nesters that have parties, bunco, breweries, golf, restaurants and live music! We are living large and loving life with our new neighbors and friends! No Regertz...😉😜

I moved here from California in September, 2022 and absolutely love it. Leaving my friends was difficult, but I've offered them a great place to come visit. Here, I'm surrounded by sincerely kind people and very different weather. I lived in the high desert, so I'm use to the heat, but not the humidity. I'll acclimate, though. Your videos helped me choose where to buy, specifically where the traffic was, and I thank you so much for that.

Moved back at the end of 2021 after a 1 year build process. Beautiful Perry Home. Very happy to be back home but between lack of infrastructure planning, overcrowding, traffic, food prices and the big one…NBU…I’m a little disillusioned

It’s definitely picked up since end of 2020. That will continue a little slower pace now. But growth is here and not going anywhere, for the same reasons you like NB. The weather is the weather is the weather. It’s also why I couldn’t fly back from Florida’s Wednesday. 🧊 in San Antonio. Let’s see what THIS summer brings us. We’ve had two wild years, with all the rain in 2021 and heat and drought in 2022.

In the summertime I do not like having to run the air conditioner 24 seven so honestly, I am undecided because that is not cool at all having to have your air on all summer🤔🤔

You have to have a deeper reason than weather. I’m from the Midwest and I melted when I first visited in 2007. And I m still not used to the 🥵 heat. What I’ve found out is neither is anyone else, not even natives. But that’s not the sole reason I chose to live here.
