We had the pleasure to interview Rick Armbruster and Steve Buccella of Upcycle Bikes! This is an amazing organization that is impacting the community in a huge way through 2 wheeled transportation! The organization collects unused bikes, fixes them up, and places them in the hands of many organizations across West Michigan! Many of us take transportation for granted and do not realize the need in our own neighborhoods! Hundreds and hundreds of bikes have been donated, fixed up, and then placed in the hands of a person in need.
There are plenty of ways you can support this non-profit! Donate bikes, donate time to work on bikes, host an event, or participate in one of their events. Maybe you are a cyclist with a group of friends and can pick a night you go in and help work on bikes. This is a perfect way to continue your passion for cycling and help others while doing so! It's a win-win!
