Cold Rolled | Fat Bike Snow Biking | Marquette, Michigan
www.travelmarquettemichigan.com Marquette, Michigan's Noquemanon Trails Network has painstakingly perfected equipment and techniques used to launch its Snow Bike Route, a 15-mile winter singletrack developed for fat tire bikes. The fast narrow trail features flowy terrain, steep descents and large bermed turns. It's believed to be the first trail of its kind--but more importantly, it's pretty fun.
Cold Rolled is a quirky action documentary about development of the Snow Bike Route and the culture of winter riding in Marquette.

That was magical. If I ever get back there to live, gonna do summer AND winter biking. I used to ride my bike in the winter as a paperboy in Harvey in 1969! Great stuff.
What an inspirational, cool video.
I think we owe the biggest thanks to the folks who made the commitment to manufacture tires for us. Without the tires it would be nothing. Great job on the vid folks
Great video! Interesting the tale about the princess and dragon pen pals, seeing that the Dragon Trail started just about a year later.
Living in Israel for 26yrs, from Ct. New to mtbing, found your film awesome. Actually had tears at the end. Love Israel, but miss the snow. Thanks.
This video captures the essence of winter fat biking like none other. Job well done!
It must have been four years since I watched this video for the first time, but it still amazes me how much effort must have gone in to this! I live in Finland, where we have pretty much the same conditions, but apparently significantly less users. I would still want to create the same opportunities for folks to go explore the winter trails. Keep up the outstanding job! Cheers!
Ive watched your video 4x already. Coming from New England, and living in Israel for 26 yrs, and new to mtb. All I can say is Thanks. WOW! I do miss the snow, esp. now.
Simply an awesome video capturing this new winter sport. I am contemplating simplifying my life by not using a vehicle anymore and getting by with a bicycle and a motorcycle. My hurdle was the winter months. I believe I have found the solution. I will be making the trip to your shop to see what type of bike will fit my needs. Ishpeming has some great mountain bike trails that I would love to ride in the winter!!!
this film did it's job for us... we'll go down over the Christmas holiday and play on the singletrack.
Super well made, a joy to watch!
Well done CCM! Outstanding videography! Salsa bikes ROCK!
How could anyone give this a thumbs down?

Awesome video, reminds me of biking in Duluth MN. Grow up in Minneapolis, currently living in Cali and I miss the shit out of the mid west. Thanks for the video
This masterpiece is already three years old...
man, this makes me feel so much better about my first snow single track. I haven't fallen off the trail/my bike that much ever, good to see I am not alone lol
Watching in 2020, and its the best fatbike vid i've seen; Great poduction, and awesome tracks! And Damn, i'm jelly! Nothing like those trail groomers where I live in Norway. I'd gladly pay/help for someone to do it back here! Wish you a good winter !^^
Marquette and Copper Harbor are my happy places. Just picked up a 2019 Beargrease and cant wait to head back U.P. #Yoop
this was very well edited and put together, great job!
Great job on the video and nice choice of music. I love everything with Fat bikes.
Excellent video. Keep up the great work. 👍
pbr, lol. nice touch!
Sweet from the lower peninsula
BRUTAL! Buen trabajo. We are planning a Snow biking first experience/movie in the Alps in two months. Watching you was very clarifying: we are in trouble! :-))) zoopa
AWESOME !
Awesome vid! Tis' the season
I Love It !
Super cool!!!! Ride on!!!!
Very nice
How am I just seeing this now!! Wow you hit the nail on the head with this one! Can you say FAT baby Fat. This is so sick. Ottawa Ontario here. I’m sending this to all I know. Will plan to come up next winter for sure. Great work guys. Hope it’s all still going strong. Would love to know.
What an incredible spectacular video I really enjoyed
Nice film. This makes me torn between wanting to hit the mountains for more biking in the snow and keeping low to hit the dirt!
Looks cold. I like it!
Awsome stuff👍
10:45 “because the dragon had really good penmanship…”
Dang this makes me want to live in the UP again.
Great video... hoping the fat bike scene grows here in Santa Fe and we can get a dedicated winter trail.

john sharp Its growing. 👍🙂
the best ...
Last year I bought a Trek 520 w/disc brakes, then recently I bought a Big Fat Dummy(Large/Biolet). I was wondering if there's a way to upgrade the gearing of the BFD to what the Trek 520 has to offer. I don't know if it would be as simple as changing out the cassette, the crankset, the hub, whichever.
I want to go back to the UP
I saw Jonathan Seagull.
Nice production and awesome bikes. Here in Norway there are comparable conditions, but those dunderheads all stubbornly do cross-country skiing and scream at me when biking in "their" ski-tracks. No know-how here concerning tyres either, just all those evil numskulls.
how much a bike like this weigh
OFF Topic but was that news guy Mike Florio? Well done vid BTW...
Is that Brian G? 😂
That answered what happens when you bail with your hands in your pogies
You gotta admit; the Mongoose Dolomite he's riding has some sexy rims.
