Scott, I know this may take some extra time, but would it be possible to give a feel for the panel for the updates. For example after 3mo, the gloss reading, visible scratches, the feel (slick/grabby).

Test McKee's37 full coating if possible and maybe their sealant as well. Another channel tortured tested McKee's37 coating against UK3.0 and 13 others. As 3.0 was failing from the chemical attacks the McKee's 37 was still beading and shedding water as if it had just been applied. Seemed a little fishy to me.

I'm late to the table, but my experience is that I don't care how long these newer hydrophobic coatings last until the last bit of protection is gone. I want to see a test where we measure how long the application-day hydrophobics last. In other words, as soon as the water starts to stick, the coating is 'failed'.

I think an interior coatings test would be interesting if you could figure out how to do it. Would an uncoated dash or seat really fade/degrade faster than a coated one? All of the usual suspects have a product to try as well.

Scott, it goes without saying that I love your channel and hard work you do. Recently, I applied Diamond Pro Tech to my wife's 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. So far, very impressed with the application and results. Not sure if anyone has requested it yet, but I'd love to see it in another test.

Since NV Nova ceramic coating is doing so well, how about testing their two sprays, Lustre and Jet. You can buy them both as a pair. Also I would love to see Polish Angel's cosmic spritz tested, but that is pricey stuff. Also Kamikaze Zipang coating would be neat to see, but it's really pricey. (Esoteric carries those products.)

What i am yet to see done on KZread is a real world longevity test with things like Bird droppings , bat droppings, fruit trees etc. Hydrophobic tests have far less meaning to us when bird droppings seem to just eat through any applied coatings I've seen. Also many times when parking under trees overnight, bats will come and eat the little seeds / fruit which land on the car and sit there especially for cars parked outside under trees alot. Love the channel, keep doing your thing!

Can you test DIY DETAIL ceramic coating?

For ceramics…SB3, System X, Underdog, Onyx

Washing soap with ceramic. Which protects the longest using just that method? Which snow foam removes the most dirt without contact

New test idea for us Canadians: Effect of road salt (sodium chloride) on popular coatings. My guess is that most of them will fail after one exposure to the salt mixture.

DPC flash-back!!! You're supposed to be able to coat the entire vehicle and then wipe it off. I hate applying coatings because it takes me forever to do both of our vehicles on a weekend after washing.

Coating self-cleaning test. Some coatings are better than others in keeping a panel looking clean. This would be a check before you wash type test, then a check under lights after to see which accumulates the least amount of contamination and oxidisation over time. Black panel essential.

Hey Scott, I would like to see the findings of different ceramic coatings application if they are applied within and after recommended curing. For example, on one panel section - 2 layers of ceramic coating applied within recommended cure time (within 1 hour between each coat typically). And on one other panel section - 2 layers of ceramic coating applied after recommended cure time (maybe 2 weeks or 48 hours between each coat). Thanks Scott for opening up to more idea suggestion and testing.

That’d be me unless someone else also suggested it. It’s a debate yet to be settled. I’d suggest these sections: unprepped, clayed, clayed + polished, clayed + polished + IPA + immediate coating, clayed + polished + IPA + 3 hour wait before coating, clayed + polished + N914 + coating.

@@ScottHD prep is important. Two separate tests could be cool: amount of prep and then another on age of paint. In my experience, the age and type of paint has a huge effect on coating longevity over most other variables. Some paints just don’t play well with some products.

I don't know if it's possible, but how about feynlab self healing, I would like to see how real that is.

Thank you so much for your dedication to help detail enthusiasts. Can you test the durability of "spray and rinse" ceramic products like Carpro Hydro2, 303 Spray and Rinse and/or 303 Touchles Sealant, Gyeon Wet Coat, McKees Hydro, etc.Maybe also use two application methods for these products? Follow the directions and ONLY spray and rinse..and another method of spray, quickly spread it around with a microfiber, then immediately rinse. Some detail channels advocate the second method as being more uniform in coverage. Also, I know you keep your test hoods VERTICAL in-between tests, but DURING the test filming, would it be possible to spray the panel and show it's hydrophobicity when it's HORIZONTAL? Aloha and thank you.

Hey Scott, id like to see some of the Sonax PROFILINE Products; Ceramic Coating CC Evo and Hybridcoating CC One. They are pretty common in Central Europe but I did not found any comparison with other Products. Keep up your awesome work and Cheers from Switzerland!

I suggest to try some crystal process products (japanese), compare some hitech south-korea products. Japanese vs korea. Why? They make some good products there. or you can compare flexible -rubber membrane products vs usual ceramic. Does usual crack and loose here protection faster (metal increase her size) Last time I suggest you maxprotect uncr, but I cant see in your teat? Finland OP ceramic?

Would really like to see the 3 "real" sonax ceramic coats. Cc 36, cc one and cc evo. Sonax puts out some of the best products on the market. Back before youtubers got paid to market and were being honest sonax dominated virtually every product from up and down the line with many cult like products. There BSD basically started the beading phenomenon. I think testing there 3 ceramic coats would be awesome.

Absolutely! We used it back in the early 2000's a lot (their polishes/sealants), but what I really like is many of their products are MUCH safer for your health (toxicity, airborne particles safety, etc). The Sonax ceramic spray coating is NON TOXIC which is the only product like that I've ever been able to say that about!

@@ScottHD Seems like before when youtubers were just being honest and making some money on views/ honest advice sonax was reccomended constantly on a variety of products and they made some serious cult status products like bsd and pf. There wheels cleaners where always rated at the top as well. Nowadays since i assume sonax wont pay these guys they dont get talked about as much. The new ceramic spray coat and ultra slick detailer are heavily underated imo.

@@Vc12383 you're probably correct. I use to use the sonax wheel cleaner but transitioned to ironx and meg d1801 just because it was cheaper to buy in bulk. It was a cost thing for me (using it in our shop). That was probably 2012-ish? It worked fantastic..just expensive when needing higher volumes of it.

Would you consider testing the Majestic Solutions products?

@@ScottHD Hey Scott. Yes you should try that.. It's the once Liquid Class Formula... What is interesting about it is how long it lasts... And the biggest point it does not produce beading it more sheets the water of.. It breaks the surface tension and makes the water run down... So more like a good wax or polymer... You should test it first for your own maybe on a panel to compare to one coating. Try 😉🌻❤

I've allways gotten different products to have different lifetimes on different car manufactures. Fusso did not last very long on my Volvo, but worked super on my Toyota. Sonax BSD worked well on my Audi, but did not last on my mother-in-laws Subaru.... How about testing a selection of coatings, sprays and waxes on different paints? A few american cars, a few European, some Asian. Some old, some new.

Make your 30 WAY CERAMIC COATINGS LONGEVITY TEST - SUBSCRIBER REQUESTED PRODUCTS again, but prep with a solvent based silicone remover and not with ipa, and we see different results im sure.

@@ScottHD great. Would love to see those tested against some other heavy hitters. Those have been a staple in my business and would hate to be missing out or overspending on products.

I am only interested products made in the USA. I would be interested in products you use everyday, such as, car shampoos, detailers, all purpose degreasers, tire & rubber protectants (plastics & vinyls) coatings, polishes, waxes, etc. I am all about Bang for the Buck products.

I think my comment got deleted because of links but I was mentioning Fireball Nano Coat and Fireball Pirouette; they have some coatings from 1 to 5 years but so far I see them sold to "certified" people. And was suggesting Suds Lab, which sells some products at Walmart, with their Suds Lab CS ceramic spray sealant.

Test ROAR ceramic coating with claimed 7-year durability. Apex Surface Protection BC-1 Ceramic Coating and BC4 glass sealant.

Maybe how safe the products are to use to user and environment, with all this talk of forever chemicals, is there are safer products to use

Nanolex Si3D Cerabide ceramic coating from Germany. Promising hardest coating & filling (no polish) capabilities.
