King brought us good fights, paid his fighters millions upon millions, and had competitors such as Bob Arum, Cedric Kushner etc etc. He was magic at what he did for entertainment as a businessman. It was not a monopoly like the ufc, which I find disgusting the way those fighters are treated.

Tim was never promised 2 million. his contract was for 500,000 so that was a lie he came up with years later. He came in overweight so he got deducted from WBC. He had to pay taxes in Europe and US since the fight was overseas. He borrowed money from King before the fight. He got several rooms at a 5 star hotel. So by the time that was all deducted along with manager fees the check was $90,000.
