shelters are overflowing with pitties, mixes, large dogs. Mostly because people betrayed them. So happy this young lady care and took action. Lovely dog, now a lovely family. Perfect ! 💓💓😊😊

They are incredible dogs, but they are not back yard dogs. They are companion dogs. If left alone or with another pittie, they can become mentally unstable. They make wonderful family dogs, but horrible guard dogs.

@@workinprogress3609I wouldn’t say they would become “mentally unstable”, that’s sounds real harsh for all pitties. My Pittie mix gets along perfectly fine with both the neighbor’s Pitties and the others around our neighborhood in general! They can also make real good guard dogs when trained right as well, I would know, ours extremely alert and extra loud when he hears something weird😂

Her ROLL is EVERYTHING!! It hurts my heart that kill shelters still exist.

Same and it also hurts my heart that with the millions that are killed yearly that we don't have more strictness related to breeding and people not having their animals neutered/spayed and so on.

Pit Bulls are so driven to please their "master" which is why they get trained to fight and sht. The more violent they get, the more praise they get from the owner. It's very sad. Money truly is the root of all evil.

Not everyone can adopt these large dogs. Many of us live in small apartments where such a dog would be miserable all day or destructive from boredom. Or they don't allow the breed and other breeds like this. Such is the way of city life. No. Not all of us can simply move and telecommute. My spouse and I work in schools and in parcel delivery. These are the jobs we have that pay ok and suit us. We have rescue cats and pay every month a fee for having 2 pets on top of rent plus the initial pet deposit. No. We cannot afford a house here. This is life today for many people.

It needs long-term community education programmes about the responsibilities, costs and consequences of owning any animal. Until unregistered animal breeding is stopped, shelters will be full, animals will end up on the streets, get sick or injured and die dreadful deaths. And don't get me started on dog fighting.....

Let me catch my breath. I see this wonderful dog that is so grateful, and her rescuer and her boyfriend who cherish her. Emotions are already high. And THEN! There’s the most handsome grandpa I have ever seen sleeping with Sybie. 🥰

Why do you call him a grandfather? Just bcz he is older? A person can not be a parent nor a grandparent if that person does not have, at least, a child or children. I think the person in this video has no kids, she only has pets and obviously pets are not kids, sooo.

So by calling pet owners what they clearly are not then you can know they are mentally insane and not truthful enough that it would be honesty there.

​@Vero2yu wow! My dogs and cats are my family, and when I was younger, I knew I wasn't going to have children. My parents were okay with that but wanted some photos of my furbabies so they could show them off to their friends and announce that these were their grandchildren. They did this because they were sick of listening to their friends talking about their grandchildren and my parents were proud to show off their fur grand kids. The reason they did this was because we treated my pets as family... therefore calling them family is the obvious next thing to do. No... we are definitely NOT INSANE either, calling them my furbabies shows how much I love them as did my parents! Stop trying to be so grammatically correct about things you know nothing about... I'm talking about the true love that animals bring into people's lives... obviously something you know nothing about!

What a goof ball, I like how she stops, drops & rolls. She is gorgeous and smart and so loving. I love her, ya'll are so blessed to have found her.

Adopt,don't shop. Are you aware of this mantra? If you have guilt being a "Pedigree breeder", what in Gods name are you profiting from it? This is from Google: On average, 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized every year in the United States. Shelters around the country euthanize an estimated 670,000 dogs and 860,000 cats each year~. Actually, I am stunned you admitted this on Geobeat since the majority that love this Channel are Animal advocates. You love Dogs? Stop the breeding and be a advocate from adoption. Do the right thing.

@@susanfrancis5471 I love dogs, but I live in a nursing home, where the person running the place hated dogs and stopped them from coming -- and we need the love. I think we should have dogs who live here, but that will never happen. So, since I have a laptop, I watch a LOT of videos about dogs (and other animals). And I imagine what it would be like to be able to be with them.

We have 2 Pittie mixes and they are both the most loving and sweetest dogs with totally different personalities. Enjoy your time with Sybie, make memories with her and your BF, they will be some of the best moments/memories of your life.

I am a pittie mom and I rescued my sweet Lasey from a shelter as well. Your story just warms my heart. I wish more people could see the true quality of a pittbull instead of being afraid of them. They are the most loyal dog (the reason they are used by people for not good reasons) and all they want to do is love you and make you happy. I wish I could meet your baby in person. There are way more pure APBTs and pure breeds, in general, in shelters than people realize. With Pitts, though, I think a lot of the problem is people get them as some sort of "status symbol" or with certain expectations of the stereotype of the breed. When they don't meet the expectation and are ridiculous high energy goofballs, they mistreat them and/or dump them. Pitties are crazy loyal and loving. They can be hard to train if you are inexperienced. And they are super high energy or sleeping cuddle bugs. There is no real inbetween. I had to learn over time about the breed and how to be a pitbull mom. But every minute was worth it. And lucky for me, we bonded instantly and she became my velcro dog and Mama's girl. She is my soul dog😍

Your video made me sit up straight when I saw it. Your Sybie is a Pittie version of my girl, Lucy, right down to the adoption story! In 2000, I had major back surgery; a week in the hospital, followed by EIGHT weeks at my sister's home on complete bed rest, before I could finally go home to my apartment. My doctor ordered me to walk every day to get my strength back. Well, it was summer, and I really dislike the heat, so I knew I needed motivation. I went to the pound, just to look around. There, surrounded by other dogs who were barking and jumping in a bid for attention, was this female pointer mix. The sign said she was a "Liver and White" 1-yr old female, picked up as a stray. All the others were jumping and barking, while she was just sitting at the front, staring at me with her amber eyes, her tail wagging so fast that her little rump was off the ground. I couldn't squat down because of my brace, but I was able to lean and put my hand up to the chain link. And, she kissed my hand, just like Sybie. She softly licked my hand like she was choosing me, too. When they brought her out to me, I got down on the ground, somehow, and she just climbed into my lap, and the deal was done. She came home with me, and was the BEST dog I have ever had. She instinctively knew when I was hurting, and would cuddle up next to me and let out this long sigh. She was my unofficial therapy dog, my road partner, my best friend. Although she is gone, now, she still lives in my heart. The way Sybie reach out and kissed you, not barking or jumping? She was picking you, and letting YOU know she was ready!

Oh my gosh that was beautiful. Thank you for adopting this sweet girl from your local shelter and saving her life! It is heartbreaking to walk through shelters and see all of the dogs begging for love; I adopted two last time I went! 😂 🐾🐕🐕🐾
