I loved this perspective ❤
He is still one of the great enigmas of modern times. Infuriating, unthinking, funny and beyond doubt a absolutely incredible painter and designer of the bizarre fashion. He always has fascinated me.❤
This helped me to better understand Dali’s eccentricities. Thank you 💕
You captured the, 'chaotic essence' of Dali visually in the direction of this video.
Wonderful Segment!.
Filled in facets I wasn’t previously aware of that are ever more crucial these days into grasping the enormity what we have been missing in the dumbed down NYC art world ever since. So this is all quite useful how he could always take things further into the stratosphere & beyond with extreme Wit & talent coupled to extraordinary intelligence.

You sir, strike me as someone who enjoys hearing yourself speak.
There are some good, insightful documentaries about Dali but this is not one of them. The director basically uses Dali to plug bits of videos he directed for bands in the 1980s - WTF?

In my opinion Bond is far too full of himself...its less about Dali than himself pompously prating. And why the music from the Ipcress File...its not a spy movie is it? The doc itself is full of TV cliches like the fake arrivals...in which sense it is about as far from Dalis spirit as possible.

Indeed , making a lemonade from the lemon . A 20-40 year old lemon that is , its a bad lemonade . But you know , when making a documentary about something as fresh as Dali , its very hard . Compare it with todays talking head documentary's and videos, its still better then that , but worse then things before it

Dali gave me a gift that I loved so much I put it in the attic and eventually threw it away altogether- Harpo Marx
Eccentric artists making films about themselves…egos or art? Dali was a crazy genius, not sure about the sycophantic people riding his coat tails.
That diamond necklace oh my! I was wondering how the jewelery he made with coco chanel looked.

Insightful, but so many unanswered questions. Why are we in sweden, and why do french people claim to share his level of intellect?
24:50 what the hell
Send 2,000 priests on bicycles to ride over his grave! And film it! Then throw the film into the Pacific Ocean, and walk away, having forgotten EVERYTHING.
💜
What’s funny to me is the fact that there is no enigmatic genius artists anymore because it is impossible to become popular at anything without money. The Internet has killed art
WHAT IS REALLY MELTING AWAY IS SWEDEN TIME , FADING AWAY ON THAT SURREALIST MULTICULTURAL POT...
Very Cool! Absurdly Cool! Cooly Cool! That moment will never return, and yet, it is with us always. Cool!
Oh, how I miss my Volvo !
The movie of a director bathing in the fading light of his association with an artist. The affectations of the film's premise and editing are weak attempts at being as controversial, provocative and well drafted as the artist's work often were. All the while papering over any accusations of the film maker's amorality, or worse, by occasionally referring to the Dali's failures as a human being but not exploring them beyond the a vague conversational sophistry. Amazing artist but an Ayn Rand of a human being.

I've seen Dali's paintings, the ones in the Paris museum, the absolutely unimaginably well painted, partly, contrasts, light, color combinations, but the absolute unique ones aren't there a single brush stroke in his paintings?

Dali is the world's last great painter.
Where’s waldamar?
He is a genius and after he has shown already what a brilliant artist he is he can talk in riddles be the joker and only art can portray the dream world which aithough he really is closer to Jung he can lead people down the freudian interpretation of morpheus never ending path and confuse and lose public there! Plus let's face it he is a genius comedian and despite his dictatorial fascist type personality persona he does not take himself and art world too seriously

Without Gala, Dali could not survive. She was his deep love and security. SHE also, was the business woman behind them as a team. Typical male airbrushing...she gets no credit for her part in this Dali story...No excuse for this. I learned nothing new from this brief docu. at all...and abhor its sycophantic bowing and scrapings... and omissions.
One can not make up one's mind, who is more pretentious: absolutely deranged Dali, or those intellectual ship-wrecks praising him ? Come to think of it, they both deserve each other. There is nothing that one single day of a hard honest work, could not cure this deliberate madness.
Why nobody shows me as a big artist genius from GOD???
No reference to Dali's very controversial political stance...
