Thanks for the tips! Btw, MT Tam and Muir Woods are the BIG parks, each about 20 minutes away. 25 minute drive to SF, longer to the beach - Stinson probably the best from there. I'll add that information when I refilm it. Thank you!
I lived there for 2 years 1996-7 on 4th Street apartment. . Very peaceful place. Loved it there.

There is a mall but it is not in downtown San Rafael. Downtown San Rafael has a lot of small shops and some great restaurants and a new hotel with a rooftop bar. I just had dinner in downtown San Rafael at a restaurant called State Room and it was super good! The mall is in an area we call Terra Linda although frankly I believe that mall is going to change mostly into housing in the future. And that leaves the two malls in Corte Madera as the draw for shopping. Thank you for watching!

Rental prices in San Rafael for a 1 bedroom range from about $2000 USD for an apartment in a building to as high as $4500. There are several small homes available that have 3 bedrooms for less than $4500, so there is quite a range in price but it's all fairly expensive. Have a great day!
