Beautiful home. Was well maintained and loved from the looks of it. How I hate seeing places like this being torn down for some stupid new monstrosity with no class. So glad you shared it and it will live on in memories.

Mate it's 1980s not 1780s. It is a modern monstrosity lol I don't see that has any architectural value at all .

Ethan, This home is beautiful. Love the main staircase, chandelier, master bedroom and bath. It is a shame that it was torn down. It was well taken care of. Thank you so glad you were able to show us this home before it was gone. 😍

I was 31 in 1988 and lived in a house very much like that one. Brought back some great memories. Thanks for being so kind Ethan…in your review and assessment of some of the appointments in the house. They looked a lot better when we lived in them. 😊

Hi Ethan, I never get tired of your videos. I appreciate the effort you put into them. I just about cried when I saw the half demolished bit at the end. Especially seeing the chandelier hanging there. That was very sad 😔

All that's missing is your glass block walls (& dehumidifier) to be the perfect '80s house for you Ethan! They seemed to have two sets of pastel pallettes in that era: candy (pink, mint, banana) or dusty (peach, mauve, moss, grey). What kind of wood were the cabinets? Unusual to see now. Maybe beech? My favourite was the chandelier! And then OH to see it hanging in the half demolished ruins!😮 Kind of a shock of reality. So so glad you were able to document this beauty before it was lost!

Heartbreaking. That home was built so much better than the cookie cutter ones going up today. What a waste of good craftsmanship and family memories to just tear it down. Thanks for the tour back in time anyway. The 80’s were a very special time for me.

Beautiful home! Soo clean and well kept. It is really sad to see it demolished. It was a well built brick home. I dislike how wasteful people have become! I love repurposing things! And love your shirt! I grew up watching MTV. That's when the actually played videos, ALL THE TIME!!!😊

Two of my favorite things that Ethan says, other than the obvious “What is up you guys?”…. “What is this?” (or “What’s this?”) and “Look at that!” It’s just something about the way he says it…I just love it. ☺️ Makes me chuckle every time. 😂✌🏼💜 Ethan…you’re a rockstar! 🥰 OH! And Happy Belated Birthday!! 🎉🎉🎉

Hey Ethan my name is Matt and let me tell you I agree a 110% with you that house is a beautiful house and why they're not gonna renovate it or fix it up is beyond me. I understand the basement has water in it but that's a no biggie that can be drained and fixed no problem there's basements that have more water than that that have been fixed. I wish I had the money I would buy that house fix it up and I want to live in it I don't know where you're at in the part of the United States but let me tell you that house is I love it. I mean I'm being honest with you I love stuff from the eighties I'm an eighties kid I graduated in 88 I wish I had the money I would buy that house fix it up and I would live in it Thanks Matt from Michigan

Another heartbreaking beautiful home. The clip at the end really drove it home - it looks like it was bombed. I couldn't help but think of some of my favorite mid century modern homes that you've shared being torn apart that way too. I wish that you could do some kind of interview video with a demo crew to get a sense of what they think about it all.

So that about broke my heart to see that destruction at the end. What a huge gorgeous stylish and immaculate house. What is wrong with people. I would live in that house in an instant. Gorgeous staircase. Lots of fireplaces. I’m sure the kitchen was amazing. The only drawback was the flooded basement. Is it just because of a snowy winter. Knowing that would be the case could some extra waterproofing be done? Such a shame. I’m sure you will have your dream house someday. Thanks for this great tour Ethan. Take care be well be safe.
