“Mid-tier”, 😂, this awesome coaster is now top tier

Not only the best ride in Netherlands, but one of the best in all of Europe. It actually exceeded my expectations. Your comparison to Twisted Timbers is valid and I love that ride!

Untamed hits every element, hard!!! An incredible ride with a 270 inversion into a twist and that’s just the beginning, an incredible ride from pre-lift to drop to epic ending brake run. A top tier RMC!

The thing I love about Untamed is that it incorporates elements from both the larger and smaller RMC's, but it still makes them unique and adds it's own twist. I do prefer this over Twisted Timbers and I definetly think this is the best small scale RMC.

IMO this has been the most intriguing RMC since Steel Vengeance. It’s currently my most anticipated ride in Europe.

Hoping to make this my first RMC in 2023. Never experienced ejector airtime or a direct drop of a lift so this will be a good ride i think. (majority of UK rides have pre drops or curved drops)

With both Walibi and Efteling we have both a top tier coaster park with Walibi and a top tier Theme park with Efteling and on top of that a great outsider in Toverland! And lol within 1,5 hours drive from each other so highly recommend coming over for a long weekend👍

Untamed may now be my 3rd favourite RMC but it still a damn good ride it used to be my number 1 but after riding Zadra and Iron Gwazi I put both of those above it

the double up double down is my favorite moment, prob the best airtime i've ever experienced

This coaster was one of my many highlights of my trip to Amsterdam this past year. Rode this coaster 3 times that day and it's now my favourite coaster of all time.

I totally agree with you! I have ridden many RMC coasters and this coaster is just amazing. I rode Zadra a few days before and yes it is cool but there is something about UNTAMED that is just amazing. It is seriously non stop action and riding in the rear seat at night is on another level altogether. I have been to this park 3 times now for Fright Fest and this Coaster is by far in my top 5 list!

Here it is! The video I've been waiting for the most! Untamed is still my first and only RMC, but still totally deserved for my first place! Until 2019 I had to wait 8 years for my first ride on an RMC. But these 8 years were more than worth it after my first ride, when I sat on the final brake with tears of joy!!! It's actually almost outrageous how absolutely SMOOTH you drive through this insane layout!!! Untamed is what it says on the first drop: (pure) LOVE!!!❤️❤️❤️

@@tim-kevinwahlert250 hoping if I can it will be Zadra (not likely as I’m Canadian) but it will more likely be Steve or Iron Gwazi (Steve isn’t crazy far and I have family in Florida)

I've only done 3 RMC's so far, all first ridden within a last years time (September 2021 to June 2022) This made me very excited to ride more RMC's after barely missing Twisted Cyclone at Six Flags over Georgia and seeing Wonder Women being build at Magic Mountain. At this time I rank them as followed: 1. Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa 2. Untamed at Walibi Holland 3. Twisted Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

i one had the pleasure to ride untamed during „lekkergaan“ where it was open the entire day until 23 / 11pm and the ramp up was insane it just kept un getting faster and faster

MY HOME PARK RMC I loveee this thing

I’m dutch myself, and i rode Robin Hood when i was little. It was terrible, i had pain in my neck the whole day after i rode it. Then, during the 2020 COVID pandemic, the park was open for like 1000 people and i got in. I rode Untamed SO MANY TIMES and EVERY ride i loved it more!

I love twisted timbers. I haven't ridden very many roller coasters compared to some, but I love that ride.

It is true that a ride in the afternoon on a hot day is a night and day difference with a cloudy more cold day. It makes the ride much more intense, especially as there are no trims in the entire layout. Glad you enjoyed it, I still think it's a great fit in the park.

I really wish to see more out and back style RMCs. Maybe Cheetah at Wild Adventures? Who knows?

Best RMC in Europe, best airtime machine in Europe, and in my eyes: it’s better than SteVe. Untamed has the strongest airtime I‘ve experienced by a mile without competition. Second half kills your legs. Masterpiece!

The hangtine roll at the end is just top tier. Love this thing and i`m happy i`m only an hour and a half away from it.

My only beef with this coaster is that it's made it harder to talk about my home-park favorite, the other Untamed. But as a big fan of Wicked Cyclone at SFNE, I'd love to ride this someday.

I LOVED Untamed, so much so it’s my number 2 coaster. My only downside with the ride are the restraints, they’re kinda painful after a couple of rides; which is a real shame cause I could’ve lapped it all day but had my marathon cut short because of those restraints. Brilliant ride though

Very very interesting the way you think about the chain ride aspect. To me and a lot of french coaster enthusiasts chatting on discord, Untamed is one of the hardest to chain due to how your thighs are thoroughly getting destroyed, especially when its all warmed up / riding in the back. The ride flatout stops respecting you and you get insane amount of airtimes, giving a lot of pressure to thighs ! Whereas, Zadra for instance, the main difficulty of chain riding it is if the door next to the lockers is closed since you gotta go through the whole queue again. But I see what you're saying about how powerful it is, it does indeed run faster but I think untamed is more intense if that makes sense

I can't ride it more than 2 times a day. It's just so ridiculously uncomfortable. It really tries to break your back on some of the elements (double up) and it really hurts my shins. The lap bar doesn't even make it to my belly because my legs prevent that, and they aren't even that long and I don't have a 6pack either.

6:44 Phoenix at Knoebels comes to mind. I've heard some refer to that sort of element as an Aztek Hill.

This ride looks so awesome. I was way more impressed with this than with Zadra 🤷

Ahhhh I love how u love this ride!!! Totally agree with your critic.

I like that 1st element you explained. What if they tweaked it a lil into an outer banked (ejector) turn, then went into the next twist out 🤌🏾. Super underrated element possibility 😭

My number one coaster. It is my only RMC though so maybe that will change when I visit Poland in September.

as a dutchie myself i think untamed is the best coaster in the netherlands by far as a thrillride. if you want more theming, go to the efteling. but that's not what walibiholland is about and i'll take thrill over theme any day.

Untamed looks absoloutely wicked! Will you do be doing a lost gravity review, since I'd love to hear your thoughts on that ride!

Well I'm not him but I can give you a short review as well. Lost Gravity has an insane first drop if you sit in the wing seats, still probably the craziest element I've experienced, with a brutal airtime hill right after. The next two hills are nice and then it kinda gets less exciting towards the end. The inversions are fun but don't live up to the start. Also it is quite shaky and the ending feels a bit uncomfortable but the seats are nice so it's still enjoyable

Untamed is a good RMC roller coaster located at Walibi Holland! I'm glad that you have a good time riding it!

The only downside to untamed I find is the last inversion which, if you're a little bigger, will hurt your legs as it goes in a little slower than the other inversions. But other than that it is absolutely amazing and I rode it multiple times this weekend! Btw Goliath used to be the most nerve wracking ride before Untamed in that park. But we went on Untamed first and were mildly disappointed by Goliath after that pfff...

These trains are beautiful! I love the stained glass look is stunning. Where do you think you would rank the comfortability and looks of the train compared to other RMC's?

Very uncomfortable trains. You won't leave the park without bruises after riding it.

This was my first upside down roller coaster . I was terrified. Trying to get over my fear 😅 galactica and nemesis are next on my list

I’ve always been a back row person but the front of an ibox just hits different than other roller coasters. Sure the first drop isn’t as intense but some hills like on wicked cyclone send you flying when you sit up front (imo). Thoughts?

I prefer the back on most RMCs but the front is fun too, especially through the fast transitions and big ejector hills. If you ever ride Outlaw Run, the second to back is the best row because you are not over a wheel which makes it much smoother. On a side note Magnum XL200 is the same thing, second to back is the best.

Easily one of the most unique RMCs! Compared to the US Ibox coasters I’ve done, this is much more sprawling-feeling, with a more creative layout, but not nearly as powerful through all of its elements. I’d still put Colossus, Wicked Cyclone, and twisted Timbers above it, but Untamed still is a top ten ride for me

It was my first RMC and while its a great coaster it seems for taller people the restrains get painfull after a couple rides already but besides that great ride

I'm only 1,76 tall and can't ride it more than twice a day because it kills my legs.

The only ride better than Untamed IMO is Iron Gwazi (granted those are the only 2 RMCs I've been on)

Do you think the RMC trains are good or mediocre because personally the one complaint I have with Untamed is the lap bars as my legs were aching after all the airtime don't get me wrong I still love the Untamed but there are definitely better lap bars out there

Hey coster studios ! There is a park in Gilroy California called Gilroy gardens ! I know it’s a family park but the park is beautiful at night with the Christmas light. Maybe you guys can check it out🤷🏽

Some people like this coaster a bit more than you. I've seen some say it is the best in Europe and some of the polls reflect that. As someone who has ridden all of the US RMC's other than Jersey Devil, this is pretty high on my bucket list and I would say it is in my top 3 bucket list coasters in Europe for sure. I think the comparison to Twisted Timbers is quite fair as that is currently my favorite smaller RMC.

I've got Iron Gwazi, Zadra, Twisted Timbers and Untamed all in my top 15. Of the smaller RMCs, Twisted Timbers and Untamed are both equally as good in my opinion. As you know any RMC is pretty much amazing anyway. You'll love Untamed. Are the other two Taron and Zadra? because they should be. Maybe Hyperion,Wildfire or Kondaa? Don't get too caught up in the Ride to Happiness hype as it might just disappoint you as it did for me. Still really good though. Get yourself on a Europe trip Alan!

@@marty_nz Zadra and Ride to Happiness are the other 2. Wildfire is real close as well. Taron looks to have an awesome setting. Not sure if the ride itself will be as good as some of the elite intamins. Taiga looks to be better. And yes I have to get to Europe. Either this coming year or next

@@alantrotter2077 I've not done Taiga yet, but it is on my to do list and some people do really rate it highly. As someone who loves Pantheon (and from memory you do too)(also my profile pic), I actually rate Taron just above it and then Velocicoaster as the best "new gen" Intamin multi launches. The theming on Taron is just next level and it does add to the ride experience as much as I'd like to admit I don't really care much for theming.

@Coaster Studios nah it's true, I'm not overly fond of most of the re-built RMCs. Some of the ground up builds I've been on are amazing though, like Zadra, Wildfire, Lightning Rod and Iron Gwazi (let's be honest, how much of the old Gwazi was kept here 😆), but Untamed just done nothing for me. Like I said, it's a good coaster, but it's not the life changer that so many people say it is (IMO)

Several people walked away with bruises? Airtime is good but actually negative Gs like that is so much better.

Definately. Can't re-ride this coaster because of how uncomfortable it is.

Untamed vs goliath is still an issue for me. Untamed is just SO MUCH rollercoaster shoved in your face, but Goliath is so smooth. 0 jank, perfect seats. But damn if Untamed just doesn't melt your face.

This ride looks like it wants to kill its passengers...I got a new bucket list - ride every RMC coaster in the world!

The first time i rode this beast with a friend he almost lost his phone it was in my seat xd.

Think you need to re-adjust your scoring scale if this is nowhere near the best RMC yet you're giving it a 10.

I personally don't like Untamed. I have very muscular legs with an awful range of motion. That makes the trains really uncomfortable especially with the ejector moments. For my taste the ejector pops are also too short/small. I very much prefer Goliath in the Park.

The lap bar locks me in on my shins and not my lap. This makes it super uncomfortable. Goliath does it 100 times better and has way better airtime.

Untamed Is overrated, what does everyone like about it? It's smooth, but that's the only thing, nothing special about it After all the stories I was really looking forward to it, but I was very disappointed as I expected much more

Wait what? Robert Hood was an amazing woodie. It was fast and wild, and very comfortable thanks to the great padding of the seats. Just how every woodie should be. Untamed on the other hand has the worst seating arrangement in the whole world. It's extremely uncomfortable and painful to ride it. And the double up is a total back and neck breaker as is clearly visible in your on-ride footage. Robin Hood was my 2nd favorite coaster in the park just below Goliath and above Lost Gravity. And saying a wooden coaster isn't smooth is actually a perk instead of a negative characteristic. I really don't understand the hype of Untamed. It just shows how easily people are influenced into thinking it's great. 'RMC's are the best roller coasters!' -so Untamed must be amazing right?! Nah. I'd rather have a ride on Condor.

While I very much avoid that murderous headache machine called Condor I do wholeheartedly agree with most of your points. xD The Robin Hood was a really good woodie and not even that rough (some discomfort is part of the experience). It had some really nice speed to it and fun drops and turns. But more importantly, it also made for a good ride for the whole family. As a kid I was rather frightened of inversions and loopings. The Robin Hood was the first 'big' rollercoaster I ever rode. It helped me get over my fears of roller coasters in general. Maybe it's the nostalgia talking but I miss this good old woodie. It was a personal favorite of mine. Untamed is in my opinion overhyped. Yes, it's a cool ride, looks stunning and certainly gets the adrenaline going. But it was much somehow less intense than I expected. The restraints ugh! Those definitely need improvement badly. They're uncomfortable for taller people (aka lots of Dutch people). More so, I not so gently bruised my left knee against the cart when depositing our bags on the other side of the track (and my legs are pretty thin). There was barely space to step through the cart all the way without bumping against something. RMC can really learn from Mack when it comes to comfy seating.
