I really dont get what Kim was thinking comng back for a third time with all that weight excess being in her mid/late 30s. If she wanted to make a come back she should've prepared herself fitness-wise in an outstanding manner to make up for her age while in fact she was at her lowest fitness/movement capabilities level of all time. Martina Hingis was right when asked 2 years ago about Kim's return, she was sceptic due to physical requirements of the game. Kim had a covid time for many months to make a physical transformation of herself but it looks her committment and eagerness to come back to top5/10 WTA was not sufficient this time. It's a shame because her shots were there ..

Yeah, she needed to be thinner than ever to reduce the strain on her joints, not fatter than ever!

Shots alone is not good enough anymore. Everyone is hitting good shots on the WTA. Venus Williams can still hit good shot and can barely win a watch now.

Pple sometimes have no clue what stress birthing a child has on the body, its very traumatic. its possible she could have played at a low/medium level after having 1 child, but 3 ? thats just ridiculous to think she could make a serious top level comeback after having 3 kids! she is carrying an extra 35 40 lbs on her frame, so she cant bolt to the balls with any endurance either.

Kim retired when she was at the top of her game many years ago. That was a mistake career wise. I don't like Ash Barry's decision to retire either. It's next to impossible to make a come back later.

Some people don't care much about the success. Some people just play for money or prioritize other things in life.

HINT: Its a ridiculous (but not impossible) feat to have 3 kids then try to play top level tour tennis, especially with an extra 35 40 lbs on her frame. she hits well, but cant bolt to the ball any more, with any endurance.

She should have gotten herself a better fitness coach or a better fitness system first before coming back. It was obvious shecwas out of shape. For a sport that is now very physically demanding, she will not win with just her strokes, if she cannot run or become flexible and agile like before.

Kim and Serena should start a Fat Lady's tennis association. While Jenny Craig would not make a good sponsor of the circuit, Krispy Kreme donuts would.
