I was thinking the same thing
You would expect a mistake of calling this a final would come from some random KZreadr, not from the official US Open, much less their own tournament.
This wasn't a final was the semi final.
When Serena showed her true colors
Why they cut out the best part lol
both girls are legends of the game. sad both never contested more in semis or more finals against one another. this match is a treat for a fan like me who loves both these ladies. both had such a stylish serve style. regards to all reading here from Charsadda,Pakistan
without the foot fault, the is a very high quality match! great shots by both players
When she couldnt win, Serena made sure she takes credit away from her opponents!! Ask Osaka, Henin, Capriati n many others!

What a poor information, its semis.
FINALS??????? get your act together USO tennis.
It was the semifinal, not the final. FAIL
the most important part of the match was omitted :(
This was a semifinal 🙄
This was a million years ago, but in my opnion, Serena acted like a privileged bully.

Semifinal match. Kim is the queen of Flushing Meadows and she could have more slams if she stayed a bit longer.
This was the match that lost me as a Serena fan forever. So unprofessional.

Why did it take you so long? I wasn't a Serena fan from the first time i laid eyes on her. She's only gracious when she wins, but when she lose, she blames everybody but herself. Did anyone watch her 2011 US Open final loss to Samantha Stosur and her 2018 US Open final loss to Osaka? She virtually tried to intimidate the umpire and her opponents. What a poor role model.
Such a quality Prime vs. Prime match up… also with the thousands of cameras facing Serena on her serve, why havent we seen evidence of the footfault?? Either way,quality match. I remember watching this live tension was insanely high from start to finish.
Black or white match is majestic ❤❤
I miss the commentary
I think, Kim Clijters can able to win a Grand Slam after she became mother to Child.. Such a blessing, Serena Williams had achieved or Not?? It is not known..

SEMIFINAL!
What did Serena go back and say to Kim at the very end?
1:11:09
"If you ever see me walking down the hall, look the other way because you're out of control. You're out of control. Totally out of control and you're a hater and you are unattractive inside… Who would do such a thing. And I never complain. Wow! Code violation because I expressed who I am. We're in America last time I checked. Can I have some water. Give me a code violation for water. Really don't even look at me. Because I am not the one. Don't look my way..."
Kim was superior to Serena. Kim was hitting the ball as hard as Serena which bothered her. Nope, Serena was playing at her best and lost to a superior player.

Serena won 23 grand slams, Kim won less than a quarter of that. Overall in their career, serena was way above Kim. I love them both but let's be real here, come on.

Still does not look a footfault to me

Too bad TV didn't show more angles to see whether or not it foot fault.
Mostly this match was just Kim playing Serena to commit more errors.
Foot fault calls cannot be overruled, unlike line calls. It's all up to the line judge. I believe that's the first foot fault call of the whole match. Making such call at such a crucial time that will bring up a match point is so wrong. I have not seen that sort of calls before and after this match. I understand why Serena was so upset, though she should have been more careful with her words.

Fue en la semifinal, como siempre Serena una mal perdedora.
Um this was the Semifinal. Who's getting paid for this? Give me their job
Kim had the luck of literally just returning to the WTA and caught a lot of players off guard including Serena. Had Serena played her that season prior to the US Open it would have been a different outcome. Hadn't played in years so it was what it was
Yes, it's definitely foot fault.
Clijsters was always a better player
@tywannmarkham

Not really. She could withstand Serena’s physicality and push her to three-setters in most of their draw-ups, but Serena always had the edge mentally. She just caught her on a bad day. Great tennis from Clijsters nonetheless.

Wow the people hating on serena here have most likely have never played a high intensity sport in their life let alone a sport. When a call that gets made that rarely ever gets made at such a crucial point its ridiculous. Especially when its so close. They both did extremely well

@luciddreamzzz1640

@@JSmith-zr2ve And you’re perfect? she probably could’ve handled that better but I don’t expect most people to understand an extremely competitive mindset, especially when it looks like your being cheated by a judge who doesn’t play at a level you do. Also that isn’t the topic of conversation. The problem is an extremely arbitrary rule/foul that should not exist or be better regulated. But go ahead and go off topic.

@@lflagr Again off topic, but you are right, it's not hating. So what about this rule though? Do we agree that its weird and needs to be fixed? You all seem to not want to discuss that topic and leave out the complete inconsistency of the line judges. That's all I'm really getting at.

That's more losses than Graf & Evert despite playing less matches than them. It's amazing despite playing till 40 years she played one match less than Graf, nearly 400 less than Evert & 600 matches less than Martina. 😮😮

@@rajusaha855and yet, Serena has more slams
@rajusaha855
9 күн бұрын
@@JameSongMaker yeah just 1 more than Steffi but 5 more than Evert. But there is a caveat there. Evert missed 3 consecutive French open from (1976-78) to order to play BJK's WTT & played just 6 A.O in her whole career 😮😮. Imagine had she played those majors how many could she had won ?? Definitely more than 20. Now Steffi retired at the age of 30 & won 22 slams in 54 slam tournament but Serena played in 81 slam tournament. So Steffi had far superior winning rate than Serena. Players like Chris, Martina & Steffi didn't skip the whole schedule to focus solely on slams like Serena did. Otherwise they could have won more slams than Serena especially Steffi. Now except slams Serena is behind them (especially to Martina & Steffi ) literally in every important metrics like total WTA titles, weeks #1, year end #1, winning percentage, winning streak. So it's unfare to comparing different generation just by slam tally. There is also other criteria to measure GOAT in which Serena is behind them.
😂
Iga fans must look at this match before celebrating her as Queen, the real Queen is her and her name starts with S.

Steroid fury😳
A match Serena would likely have turned around and won if not for that unfair and unnecessary call of a foot fault from the line judge a call which cost Serena the match and she didn't even foot fault
