    Honestly, this channel eas so helpful with my game. When I added the rocker step and delayed between the legs, the game was so much easier. Before, all I ever do is dribble hard and cross hard. But this just tells that simple and effective is the way to go. Thanks, coach!!!

    Love this video. I use this a lot. Also, coach I am the guy who asked how to score if your not athletic. I figured it out. I have to use the pump fake. Not just on three point shots but on layups and mid range shots too. On drives to the rim, I can’t blow by my defender. So what I do is get as close as I can, then small pro hop, then pump fake. Half of the time they jump, and I pivot around them for an easy layup. If they don’t jump, I pump fake one more time to throw off their timing for the blocked shot, and I do a fadeaway mid range. Thank you so much for your help. Can you do a video on the concept I just discussed? Going to the rim, coming to a two foot stop. Then either pump faking for a layup, or pump faking for a mid range fadeaway. Thanks coach. Big fan.

    Aye coach frikki I figured out away to get more ankle breakers and shots. You know how most people get open with stepback. Well anybody ever heard of a step forward lol. Yk how most people always play the drive. Well you can use that against them. Get they're momentum going backwards by jumping forward. You can do this with a Hesi or between the legs as long as you move forward. From there you can get a shot. Because if I move forward and you move back I'll get a shot but if you get close I can drive and snatchback. Tjass does this alot. He does a between the legs while moving forward and shoots it. It's basically like attacking the back foot. You can also move to the side a little. Good thing about it is you don't need fancy dribble moves or a crossover and snatchback to pull it off. It's basically like the skipping method in your Hesi video. It's for people who play the drive but can contest the stepbacks. Lastly if you don't move back easy blow by.

    Key nuance to the spin seal: spin moves work bc defender is leaning towards us. How you know he’s doing it is you can feel his hand or arm on your back. Spin to the hand and seal it out of your way to protect the ball and the angle. It works 100% of the time you look for that indicator.

    Aren't they all in a post-up context, even if just for a moment? All spin-seals require that you have your back to the basket before executing them, which is essentially a post-up position. The only clip that shows an iota of ambiguity is the Kyrie Irving clip where he ever so slightly acts as if he'll post-up, but then slips right into the spin-seal. Wade clearly posts up for a beat and then spins.

  • @CoachFrikki

    @CoachFrikki

    2 жыл бұрын

    Pros: It gives you more options out of the closed stance. Being able to explode both ways even when facing away from the basket. Makes you unpredictable and much harder to reach or put ball pressure when you're in that closed stance. Cons: You don't get many chances to do it, it's not a move you use often. Also if the defender knows this move he can read it pretty easily, and you just made a silly pointless spin.
