The opening reenactment definitely cost a pretty penny to film. Can't believe they actually did all that. We're talking a stunt driver, a stunt woman, a stunt coordinator, one actor, at least two or three camera ops, a set medic, a director and all for the opening reenactment of this show. Crazy!

Unresolved. On September 7, 2002, two hunters found Wil's skull and jaw bone dumped in a rural area near Moscow, Idaho. No other remains are found. The cause of death could not be determined, but the manner of death was ruled a homicide. The police believe his attacker was someone he knew, but no one has ever been arrested in the murder. However, there are several possible suspects in the case. Wil's mother, Leslie, claimed that her nephew's foster brother had told her about three men who had bragged about killing Wil. She recognized them all as individuals she had dealt with while working as a police officer. She fears that the men may have killed Wil because he was her son. However, the police have not confirmed or denied this theory. Another prime suspect is the truck driver that Jerry fired shortly before Wil's disappearance. According to police, the truck driver actually lived in the same trailer park as Wil and Jerry. Wil actually knew the man and sometimes stayed at his home. The day after Wil vanished, the man suddenly packed up his belongings and left for Florida. He also refused to cooperate with police. However, he was never charged in the case. Sadly, Wil's father, Keith, passed away in 2013.

@@jdavis37378 I've never heard a bad thing about Jerry. It is far more likely that someone affiliated with LFF or Christ Church or any other number of hateful organizations in the region killed him. They've sent death threats to members of the LGBT+ community in this area repeatedly (Kathy, the woman in this video? she ran for local office but was forced to drop out due to the harassment she received), and also stalked people. PoC who live in the area don't like to go outside at night.

One person that gets skipped over again and again is Jerry, his partner. The FBI profiler on this case said his murder was known to him, the murder left the area after the murder, and then returned to Moscow after a short time. Each of these fits Jerry perfectly. After Wil’s death, he left the country, returning after about three months to run his business. Their relationship was not as Jerry indicated. Jerry was pushing for a Commitment Ceremony. Wil was leaving Moscow after graduating that spring for acting possibilities in Hollywood. Jerry was a business owner in Moscow and had no plans to leave. There are many other clues pointing to Jerry. Why was he never named as a suspect? The partner is Always looked at first. Jerry has no alibi. I could continue. Just look closely at the case. Look at police department ineptness. It all comes full circle.

The show paints Will as a bad drunk. I met Will when we both were working on the movie Dante's Peak in the little Idaho town of Wallace. In the evenings a group of us would play pool and drink beer in a bar. What I saw was a young, polite, genuine human being. He was telling me about his desire to be a real actor and he told me he had tapes of the Stanislavski method of acting in his car. As our fun-loving group got tighter, for some reason Will confided in me he was gay but not like he was ashamed or anything. I was raised very conservative but I'm not judgemental and it was ok with me, but there was one goofy guy in our group that made an inappropriate gay joke, and Will didn't do anything. I just remember Will as a warm, genuine, laid-back, nice guy. I thought it was interesting how he had no stereotypical gay mannerisms or speech. I think he would blend in at any party. Since his disappearance every now and then I look him up to see if there's any progress in the case. Very sad.

@@deedee0351 I find it strange that she claimed to have been 'keeping an eye on him' to stop him from going upstairs and getting himself into a bad spot. If it meant that much to her, then why did she come back outside from calling her friend earlier, only to realize his car was STILL there, but he was NOT? What does she do next? She ASSUMES he went upstairs, then what? Did she just shrug her shoulders and then go back inside and head to bed? Yes, she did. Or at least that is what she claims. At that point, was there NO ONE left at their party that was still outside who could either confirm or deny that he DID go upstairs? Also, if she cared enough to keep an eye on him and stop him from going upstairs, WHY didn't she go up there to get him and make sure he wasn't getting himself into trouble after assuming that he went up there? That makes no sense at all to me.

I get what you're saying, but I've personally witnessed a teacher's career ruined when a student accused him of assault. Long story short, when I was in high school I knew a girl who was a known liar. She had a crush on one of our male teachers. I never saw him act inappropriately towards her or anyone else. She was the only one who ever accused him, she changed her story repeatedly, and he resigned. Even after she all but admitted that she made it up there were still people who think that he must have done something. It ruined his career; at least it was before social media. I'm not defending this teacher of course, but there have been too many times that one accusation, even a suggestion, has ruined careers.

@@michelleprieur1 There is a significant difference between a child as in this case, and an older teenager, so I don't think your comparison is very relevant. Young children do not lie about these things and it is disgusting to think anyone would doubt a child who told. Unfortunately, it happens a lot because of this kind of attitude you display. In the case of teenagers and adults, false reports are actually extremely rare and it is a sorry excuse for blaming the victim and protecting potential perpetrators to say 'disbelieve the accuser unless you have absolute proof, in case it harms the accused.' People don't say this rubbish about any other kind of crime except sexual violence. You never hear of someone getting mugged and people refusing to believe them, even though a tiny percentage also make up being the victim of mugging, etc. Don't disbelieve or blame the victim, especially a vulnerable child!

I don't know what you're blathering about with the mugging bit, but there are plenty of circumstances in which people accuse others of making up being victimized. @@Strype13 Totally disagree, the UFOs and legends segments were important as they gave viewers a "break" between dark or violent stories. Sure the criminal cases are the best and most important segments by far, but if the show would have been all murders or dark stuff then it might have turned a number of viewers away. The paranormal segments were often placed at strategic moments, to give viewers a breather and that's clever TV. I think they stopped doing the paranormal stories in the latter seasons due to budget issues and restrictions; you can tell in earlier seasons that the UFOs segments were very expensive to shoot due to CGI and computer graphics and elaborate reenactments (particularly for old cases like Roswell and Kecksburg), and that the budget they had for the last few seasons wasn't the same as when the show was on NBC. That's a big reason, with the money they had they probably decided to stick to criminal cases.

It happened in 1999. He killed 3 people. First Carson then my cousin Barbara and her boyfriend. He shot my cousins boyfriend (Chris Barnes ) in the head then he attacked and raped my cousin (Barbara Leggitt) then he strangled her. These were random killings I promise. I even saw that guy in the Perry county court house. He admitted to killing them all. There were no ties to these victims to him. Random serial killer. No remorse for him. My uncle did not know where his daughter (Barbara ) was at for 5 years. He had no answers that long until that guy thought the cops were watching him at his house but they were watching a drug house next to his so he went and turned himself in. I’m glad we all got closure but it is all nonsense. Glad he’s in prison has 3 life sentences he will die in there but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
