1 question Why the fuck does he only deal 25dmg on a 800ms heavy while hitokiri can deal 30dmg on a 700ms heavy with earlier hyperarmor and an option to charge that heavy to make the timing variable

As a Centurion main, that is exactly how I thought of Jormungandr; someone only slightly better than Centurion. It took me two duels to realize Jormungandr would be joining the ranks of Aramusha and Centurion players; everyone will just turtle against you because it is fairly obvious you cannot do anything about it.

Sometimes i wonder about the devs idea of 'middleground'. They will release a character like bp with a 500ms 20dmg bash that can't be punished. But them this character with a 600ms 0dmg punishable bash.. like what?

@@doggo7118 it was a give and take to propel her into the current meta. Everyone that has a hidden stance type move is GB punishable how is that fair that she can do it for free without worrying? So what? It requires the player to be more careful with HS and not just be brain dead with it. HS also hides your indicator when attacking now which also helps. Two, yeah man thosr lights increase in speed make noticeable differences in how more offensive she can be now. Back then you would be risking yourself by throwing out a side light. Three her poison stacks now which is great, too many times when In the past when I've poisoned someone it didnt really make the opponent be wary of it. Now it stacks and last longer due to stacking in tandem with her hero feat where she does extra dmg for bleed targets.

Onesies is pretty simple to understand for George, half moveset on stamina heroes, full moveset potential on oos opponent. But he can’t maintain that pressure after slam jam so he just goes back to half moveset.

I really enjoy these longer, more in depth character reviews. Great analysis. He seems to be in the same state as Hito with regard to being unfinished. He needs an enabler to compensate for his inability to do his own job. Raider will probably pair well with him because they can actually do real stamina damage and set up a nasty gank. Shame most year 3 heroes are so unfinished.

I've been looking forward to the chinese swordsman. Black prior was awsome and my hopes were high. Hito was fun, but flawed so I still figured we'd be seeing 4 great heros. Now we got cent 2.0. Hope my swordsman comes out with a fire in his eyes and a moveset to match.

@@xxxilluminate5754 You're not exactly wrong. The only thing keeping Hitokiri in the game is that hyperarmor, which they plan to reduce. Jormungandr suffers from a similar problem that Hitokiri does, a super reactable kit, but Jorm cant really confirm much damage.

Sponsored vids have certain guidelines. You can't say negative things and you have to stay within a margin provided. Like in the iCarly episode with the sneakers, where they signed a contract saying they can't say anything negative about a pair of trash sneakers. KZread content creators are in a rough patch rn with money and sponsored content is a great way to make pay. If they say negative things in a sponsored vid, they probably won't be invited back for more.

He is Viking Heavy, of course he is bad in Anti-Gank Ask Warlord, or Hybrid Heavy Highlander. Haha But for what I saw, Jor hitbox is SuperTrash... I wish the Devs gived Jor the Dmg On Bash feat.

I've anti-ganked multiple times as a Highlander, a huge amount of times in Offensive stance where I'm forced to dodge to avoid attacks. So Highlander I a pretty good Anti-gank hero in the right hands. I'm only Rep 34 and I've anti-ganked Rep 100+ as Highlander solo.

Can you give us your opinion on the small specific character changes?

Don’t know if this will help but I noticed that if u dodge a finisher light or heavy u can get jorg’s neutral bash so if they throw a move that costs a lot of stamina u should be able to finish their stamina.

HA on 25 dmg heavies is also kinda useless with 130HP to trade with.

The hero needs numerous buffs imo. I’ve been playing him for a good 3hours and his kit is extremely lack luster especially in anti-gank and duel situations. Edit: am I the only one who thinks the male voice lines are trash?

Maybe his side unblockable or top unblockable can track? That could be a possible counter to side dodge attacks.

Excuse my mini rant here on a youtube comment section. But I need to throw it out: I was one of those players who initially saw his punish/gank capability and thought he was going to be high tier in 4's. After thinking about it more and especially watching this video I no longer feel that. And i'm more than disappointed with him. I play a LOT of heros in the game. There's really only like 3-4 that I don't have a decent grasp on. But my "main" experience comes from 2 hero's primarily (4 if we want to count hito and warden.) That would be black prior and centurion. I was PISSED when I saw this hero reveal because it seemed like Centurion 2.0. I know both bully different things and are not exactly the same. But what frustrates me is that this hero basically has carbon copy of many of centurion's issues. Terrible in 1v1. Hard to confirm damage. Absolutely feeds revenge. Both heros are about landing that big punish. She gets arguably the same or better punish than centurion does but sucks just as bad as cent in confirming it. But the difference is centurion can actually fucking damage people. And his tools allow him to setup ganks AND participate in them. Where as Jorge does not. He just exists to delete people. So we're basically 3 years in the making now with their second attempt at the bully style of play and they still make the same. damned. issues. It's like they've learned nothing at all. Jorge is literally a worse centurion in a majority of situations and that's damned depressing. So why mention BP? Well. BP is consistently bashed as being a low skill hero with barely anything to his kit. the L>B>L hero. Yet of the 4 heros in year 3 BP is the only hero that has any semblence of depth to his kit. Sure hito has the tools to be a momentum based hero. But it's not supported. Even worse is that BP seems to be the only solidly designed hero from concept to gameplay. He isn't really garbage in any particular situation fight wise. And his mechanic is both useful and powerful but not unfun to play around. I don't understand how the same team that designed BP can crap out Hito and Jorge. I think the worse thing for me really just is the realization that Hito, a hero I regularly play and also shit talk, is a BETTER hero than Jorge in basically every fucking area. Why would I ever take Jorge other than for fun? Hito is arguably better at deleting people due to her tier 4 shredding ballsy players who pop revenge at the wrong time. She can confirm executions which is massively good. Her sweep enables her and her allies for ganking due to it's zero damage reduction like most CC moves apply. And her kick mix up actually has more pressure to it than Jorge does in his entirety. Not only that but due to her stupid armor start up and the kick she's better at playing on her own too. Literally the only difference between these two heros in terms of "why would I play" is that regardless of how shitty of a hero Jorge is his overall asthetic and big dick damage/bully makes him infinitely more fun to attempt to play than it is to play Hito decently. /rant over. Thanks for the video Craic as always.

stamina pressure is pretty much non-existent in this game anymore now that ypu can't keep enemies oos. Only Raider's still got good stamina pressure because he deals said pressure *while* dealing damage.

The only role I can see Jorg fitting in 4v4s is by boosting a zone with the explicit intent of just stalling when opponents arrive, so that one of the gankers (Raider, Shaman, etc.) can arrive to set up the big damage ganks. However, since he has poor 1v1 and anti-gank capabilities, he would be weak before the gankers arrive and would be countered if more than one opponent is sent to gank him first. Some things that may be able to help him would be to improve the hitboxes on his chained lights and give him Body Count. This way, he could play mid with zone > chained light, where it would be easier for gankers to rotate to set him up. He wouldn't be very strong at fighting the mid 1v1, but he could be threatening when teammates are nearby. At very least, it would make the opponent mid-laner uncomfortable trying to clear the minions, as a well-placed punish could end in a 100+ damage gank punish.

As a stamina bully I feel it would make sense for him to have a better stamina pool, cuz you'd assume he'd wanna outlast enemies

They should give his opening bash armour and make it 500ms and a bit harder to punish. His stam pressure game plan would be easily enforced then, but if it was like that itd still need to deal no damage

Honestly I think the recovery on the neutral bash is a bug... the guard refreshes fast, but you're still stuck there to be GB'd. I think (hope) they'll patch the recovery.

I kinda wish hed do these kinds of reviews for all of the heroes in the game as they are currently. (If he already has sorry didnt see it)

Make his finisher undodge attack have HA also. Make his neutral bash be able to reach if the enemy back dodged. Make his zone quicker, way quicker and reach further. Make him be able to fient in his "bashes" Make his finsher unblock heavy have better targeting. Make his HA attacks do more damage. Last give him a good foward dash attack that can close the gap easier.

It’s just that if any unblockable hits you while out of stamina it’s guaranteed 50 damage

I partially agree with you on what you said about george but i just don't agree on the grab. Sometimes you can backdodge 2 times and he stills grabs you which i think is pretty broken because if you don't dodge it by prediction it sometimes doesn't let you dodge especially on console when you have a higher ping(50 more or less).

If you have a good shaman, raider, berserker Viking team he’s a great tank to finish out

I think they realized they went hyper armour heavy on hitokiri and lost a lot if ideas for this character.

I hope they buff the bash, give it a 5 damage property every time it lands, or a stun property, but since i hate stunning tap I wouldn’t suggest it.(The damage would not apply on parry counter, but maybe on gb bash)

They need to get the multipliers on parried and blocked attacks lower. A x 7 multiplier on a heavy parry means 70 to 84 stamina depleted for getting parried. That’s too much!

I agree with this review 100% J needs a buff. The push should have slight forward tracking. One should be able to initiate it after a sidedodge, like LB. And most importantly, it should DO about 10 damage. Not confirm. DO. But I bet UBI will leave him the way he is :P

Why the hell his neutral bash has this much recovery? Why aren't they safe on miss? It doesn't confirm any damage. I mean, bashes that deal DMG (black prior 18 DMG bash) have recoveries that don't grant even fast dodge attacks to land but jorg bash grants GB on reaction dodge, I don't see any logic

I don't really understand why they made him so bare bones and so extreme on his gimmick. Jorm in a way seems to be similar to Shaman, they both have a clear goal and they are weaker when the requirements for their gimmicks aren't fulfilled. But Shaman can function very well even without getting into blood trance, she has plenty of tools for essentially every situation, it's easier to land bleed than to get someone oos and since the opponent can still have stamina the counterplay is more interesting, she isn't 25% of a hero without a bleeding opponent.

He should do more damage to the knight faction because he can bash in their armor🤔 this is a joke but makes sense

Altough her moveset isn't great for 1vX, She has some assets. Solid guard, high HP, Bulk up, Vengfull shield, Shields up. So she can be tanky in antigangs, but still rather poor.

There's no dancing around the fact that this character was made very lazily. The chains are as bare bones as possible. His kit relys on a mechanic that nobody likes (stamina pressure). He brings nothing new to the table. They add these properties on his chains like it does anything for him. He's basically warlord if you made the headbutt slower and removed the guaranteed light. His only even slightly unique feature is the nutblaster hammer slam, which is almost exactly what centurion has. He seems like an echo fighter for centurion. Lazily slapping enhanced lights, hyperarmor, undodgeable, and unblockable properties on a hero doesn't make them interesting. Plus he screams like female tiandi

I’ve been playing for a day and a half and can honestly say this is all true

Dont forget how utterly useless you are in ganks when someone gets revenge, at least cent can still knock them down and get rid of shield if your teammates all get a heavy off

I’ve watched this video multiple times to try to understand your stance on jorg, but I still don’t understand why you’re saying that he’s an overall bad hero. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I didn’t hear you mention his follow up bash or his follow up undodgeable light at any point in this video. I feel that this adds the pressure that you claim jorg is lacking in and gives him an answer to characters with dodge attacks. If he didn’t have his follow up bash or follow up undodgeable light, yes I would agree with you in saying that he would be an overall bad character. I think those two things fully complete the character’s move set. Did you cover this and I just missed it? I don’t understand.

I still believe in this character, I think a good player can make this work and some underrated tools might be stronger than some people think

So they basically took Raider's stam bully side away from him and did't rework Cent this season just to release a new stam bully hero blocked behind a paywall... Just for him to be absolute garbage at pretty much everything and be a boring mess because he's half a character when you have stam... Sounds like Ubi, yeah
