Unsafe SCHOOL BUS STOP forces kids to WALK on the STREET!

Ойын-сауық

This is a very special one. I got caught behind a bus this week and was shocked to see the stop the kids got off at! Another complete dumping ground. The kids had to walk on the street because the sidewalks were completly trashed. I knew right then that this would by my next project.
This one took 2 days but it was well worth it. Found a couple toilets, front bumper, diapers, and a whole lot of trash. Also, my truck window got smashed - but it was all worth it to see the end result!

We pay taxes to the schools, the cities, the states... and it take a random stranger with no ties to the property to make it safe for these kids to walk home after getting off a bus every day. Disgraceful! Thank you for helping these kids out. You're a gem.

Where are the parents? They can't meet with the school board, write to their representative and ask why this isn't being taken care of, or plan a group cleanup with other parents and kids to clean it up? Just seems lazy and the kids get put into the street where it's not safe either.

@@Beach-Star-Experience-550-YT I think people don't 'see' things. They drive by it every day and just become desensitized to it. Also, a lot of people don't prioritize landscaping/yardwork, so they really don't see any problem with overgrowth. I think it's more of a perception difference than laziness.

Suburban cities don't really take in enough money to really take care of every block of road and sidewalk. They rely on new suburban areas and inner city zones to pay for the maintenance of other older areas. Unfortunately, that Ponzi-like game fails apart when they stop growing, and now they have large stretches of roads and infrastructure they need to maintain. So, they have started neglecting some areas of the city to maintain the areas that generate business, taxes, and happy Donors.

This then, is the responsible of the landowner for letting the vegetation get out of control. Could the city council gone around identifying abandoned property, and made it a project for citizens to clean up and make it a safer neighborhood, or even make it a Saturday event.

The property owner probably lives no where near this spot and is just waiting to cash out some number of years in the future. Meanwhile everyone around it suffers. Not for the city to maintain. What they SHOULD be doing is cleaning it up and putting a property tax lean on the property until they just foreclose on it and then sell it at auction.

@etienneE it differs, I think most places are the property owners have to maintain clearing and cutting around sidewalks. The actual sidewalks are maintain by city. Had a business owner in Missouri was told to cut the grass in front of his store, but told he couldn't put a sign up because it was not his property. He told whoever was telling him to cut it that if he can't put a sign up he will not cut it so city takes care of it. A town in Michigan will fine a business owner if sidewalks are not cleared and salted during winter.

I don’t think it is about the community not caring, I think it is about resources, access, and politics of urban development. That’s what it looks like is going on here. Typically the tax money that people pay go to areas that bring more money back to the city. Areas they invest in for development from big developers or people coming into communities with money to build and take areas like what he is cleaning up at very low costs to displace these kids and their families. What he is doing is great and very caring, I wish more people took notice and even fought for neighborhoods like this in the private development sector. I saw the question mark and wanted to provide an answer, hope this helps.

@@dw7922 You really think the average person has the expertise, time or the equipment for this kind of job? The average person doesn't have a leaf blower, chainsaw, lawn edgers, hand held mini circular saws, etc especially not in poorer neighborhoods where these townships and counties neglect and this kind of things end up happening. Blame the county and township not the people living there for the state of the public sidewalk that THEY are responsible for the upkeep of. Edit: Don't discount this man's dedication and skill and time that he puts into these projects as if everyone is capable to do what he does.

I was thinking the same thing--early pruning will probably make the foliage on the fence thicker when it finally gets going. It will prbably look really pretty and thick and maybe the litterers won't try to use this area anymore. Don't we all love edged sidewalks?

Finally, someone that actually knows how to clean up a place. All the others I've watched mow around piles of junk and things leaned against the houses. You not only pick up all the trash and move big garbage, but fix things that you can. Great job to see someone clean the way I do, which is why you're the only landscape cleaner worth subscribing to. Now if only the neighbors of the places you clean would feel ashamed enough to clean theirs up as well.

Here is the God's word, Genesis 1: 28: "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." This is human's work. The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our beloved ones again! :-)
