I worked at Longbridge Rover for Rover Special Products for years. You have a little gem there and you’ll never have a head gasket problem with the Honda engine that’s sits inside there.

Yes I saw that yesterday

The mini needs moving inside and restoring. The rover 220 GTi was more a rarer car. The 216 wasn't as desirable . Still a great find tbg and rare these days. Great video as always bro.

Bought one of those rovers for 50 quid years ago and sold it for 500. Great car

I remember when decent examples of these Rovers were sitting around car yards for just under a grand. Then they disappeared. Must be still plenty sitting around gathering rust on driveways.

Good wee Sunday video stu My big brother loves rovers he has few of them and merina and itali think he has 12 cars all in all in various states .....I had few 216 gti over years mainly Honda engine thankfully and few tiger tops as well ......still prefer my vauxhalls though 😅

I had a cheap one of them 216 had a honda engine in was odd the gearbox was on the driver's side the 220gti was the better one but still good I would put it back on the road it's the only rover I would do mate

I used to work for Rover dealership back in the day , I remember when these came out , awesome cars , Def need to save it 💯👍 honda engine great engine , but cheap spec , why did they not op for electric windows 👍
