It's the closest thing that we have. Like the core game or not. But Fortnite is no longer a game itself as much as it is a platform where everything you buy migrates from game to game.

Because fortnite already has a HUGE audience and playerbase. So they already have "customers" unlike "metaverse games" that start from scratch. It's also free and is ALMOST on every platform

200mb on such high details environment is crazy! we would see a significant reduction in game files that utilize UEFN. smaller size means faster read on storage. this will also benefits mobile games industry.
