Unpacking the Proposed EU AI Act

As the proposed AI Act continues progressing through the legislative process, our host, Dr Emre Kazim, Co-Founder & Co-CEO of Holistic AI, and guest speaker Minesh Tanna, Partner and Global AI Lead at Simmons & Simmons LLP, will be providing you with the essential insights you need.
Our panel will dive deep into key amendments, such as the definition of AI, the definition of 'significant risk', and inferring sensitive data on gender and health. We'll contextualise these amendments and discuss what they mean for AI developers.
Additionally, we'll explore the next steps in the legislative process, including the plenary vote, and examine standardisation. The CEN/CENELAC process has started, but will standards be ready?

Screw this. Do something worth wild for people. Like a guaranteed income. This would solve so many problems, and after the first year would pay for itself. This is a no brainer.

It seems incredibly disingenuous, hypocritical to be displaying concern about the harms that might possibly occur from the use of AI while previously having legislated to grant freedom from liability to companies producing experimental gene therapies. these therapies which were then subsequently coercively used on the uninformed populations of these countries. This apparent 'care' to protect individuals can't possibly be accepted as the EU's genuine motive.
