I love ballistic weave, but it's SUCH a pain in the ass to get. Sometimes, doing one PAM quest unlocks it. Sometimes, it's like a dozen, and she doesn't give you quests every time you complete one the way Tinker Tom does with the MILA quests. I always save before returning to the Railroad HQ, just to make sure I get a quest and it's not a dud.

I know what you me mean. It's happened to me a couple of times. It's one of the few things I dl very early when playing in survival mode. For me it's enough of an issue to start over again.

Just get 1 then use the duplication glitch

Its like having godmode with the armorpieces of far harbor

@@omegaderose4342you can buy stuff that can be modded to using ballistic weave but tinker Tom is the only one who actually sells clothing with ballistic weave already installed onto it

The ballistic weave was implemented into the game so you could wear and dress how ever you like. Basically a cosplayers best friend. Using it with the best gear in the game just makes it a cake walk on hardest difficulty

I totally agree. Combine this with Legendary armor and maybe some select glitches and Survival begins to feel like normal mode.

If you use the Military Fatigues instead of the Army ones, you get an extra 5 points energy resistance.

That's very true. I do like using random clothing just to help with role playing playstyles.

It was glitched on my playthrough and I just said screw it and went without :(

Yeah that can happen sometimes. It's a little upsetting as this one mod alone can make things so much more survival especially on the higher difficulty settings.

Fair enough - you are missing out on some sweet armor ratings lol.

Certain clothing won't let you equip armour over them. Just stick to the armour he shows in the video

@@TrappedInFallout I was testing what clothing works with ballistic weave to wear armour over, and the only one I had come across was the clothes you used. I didn't spend a bunch of time testing but it doesn't work with any tux, the t-shirts you can get it the comic store you can only wear leg armour those were the only ones I can remember testing.

Yes, as long as you heard the dialogue even in passing then it should have unlocked the mod. Check your armor workbench.

Nope, you are free to leave whenever and there are no obligations to continue to talk to the Railroad or anything.

You can opt in to join but you can then just walk away. It's what I do and then I basically stop visiting and start to focus on my other quests.

Keep talking to Tom and he will eventually talk about it. He may first talk about some injection ot shot, allow him to give it to you and soon after he should tall about the Ballistic Material. I literally did this quest today on a new Survival playthrough.

It can be both frustrating and tricky. PAM should give you the quest if you follow along the video steps. If not then there is a chance that something might be bugged in your game. Try reloading an old save file if you can and see of that helps.

Sadly there is not exact science to do this, it is a random event. The constant here is that the random dialogues from both Drummer Boy and Tom only happens after completing the mentioned quests. You can try doing more PAM quests or you can try leaving the area and returning after some in game days to see if that helps.

Honestly I have no idea why. Hand on heart I had to do a few takes before I settled with what I think was my best attempt. I can say it right now, totally fine but no idea why I was struggling at the time.

Perfect timing 👌 We all have brain fart days over the most simplest tasks. I appreciate your content, I'll always try to watch as much of your content as I can even if I know what it's about already.
