sixteen episodes work together the 2 finale episodes On the whole, I definitely felt this season was not only good but also an excellent improvement over season 1. We got a lot more intriguing stuff such as the phasing out of the Clones, the Bad Batch figuring out what to do, the potential of a Clone Rebellion, etc. Also, limiting the guest characters was appreciated too, and even with the guests used such as Senator Chuchi, they were used to great effect. So yeah, I greatly enjoyed this season and look forward to season 3 (which I suspect could be the final one ends with a plot twist and leaves the next season in so many directions Tech's sacrifice was powerful, moving, and unexpected. I do however think One of my favorite seasons of Star Wars. Everything hit for me and it all paid off in the end Not enough people recognize the incredible character writing we have in star wars now. From season 7 of CW to the end of TBB s2, the squad has evolved so much. Not to mention all the other stories like Mando whose characters have majorly evolved. And of course Andor with its deeply nuanced approach. Some people see star wars as a fun action franchise, which it is, but it is also so much more and should be recognized for that Overall I did enjoy this season, definitely the best of the two so far. I think Season 3 will be great with what they have set up. We got a lot of good character development, emotion, fun stories, new worlds and characters, and a lot of good action. For what this show is on its own following this squad of characters I think they are handled well. I am personally on the side of seeing each episode for what they are and not as "filler" because it didn't follow some main storyline. Each episode follows our Batch even if some might be lesser than others. I am ready for Season 3 though and we'll see if they announce it at Celebration here soon I hope it all comes together in a satisfying third season and maybe a finale Bad batch season 2 is like when it's good, it's GREAT. Crosshair had almost ALL the best episodes and when it was bad it was horrible filler. I'm just surprised the bad batch didn't have an episode where they were doing Sid's laundry or grocery shopping. In my opinion, this show is so disappointing. Why are all of the most important character decisions off-screen? Cody leaves the Empire, Echo leaves the group to go with Rex, and the Batch leaves Cid, all of these are off-screen and irritate me I hope they cut out all those unnecessary filler episodes next season.

Disney Star Wars is sadly such a mixed bag, you have Kathleen Kennedy and her Woke Wankers group making the fucked up shitty mess of the Sequels that ruined the future facing stories of Star Wars, terrible Kenobi, High Republic, and other occasional shit. Then you have people like Dave Filoni, John Faverau, and occasianally people like the ones writing this Vader comic series who actually care about Star Wars and George's legacy (who I call the Lucas Loyalists) and do their best to make good stories despite the other side screwing them over. It's such a mixed bag right now with the future unknown.

I love how she states her intentions to the droid and even the droid is like “woman do you have any idea who you’re about to be fuckin with, are you nuts”

Sometimes it's interesting when Vader gets a piece of Anakin's past, he'll slowly revert back to Anakin until that piece is gone. That's how I see Luke Skywalker.

awesome that star wars is bringing back these old characters that you don't think about again after you see the movie instead of just pulling random characters out of nowhere

What I find most interesting is that she is, in a few ways, a dark reflection of Padme. She’s an ally of force users, she’s very competent, handy in a fight, and willing to go to “extreme measures” to get what she wants or achieve her goals. Though I must say, Sabe is looking pretty good for being a 40+ year old woman.

She originally wanted to kill Vader because she thought that he killed Padme. The Emperor then states that she now wishes to kill him. Padme's heart stopped as Vader's heart restarted. Nobody dies of a broken heart. The circumstances of her demise are quite... unnatural.

Dying of a broken heart is actually possible. It’s called “broken heart syndrome” and it is similar to experiencing a heart attack. The difference being that heart attacks are caused by sudden blockages in the arteries which halt blood flow, and BHS causes heart muscle weakening which slows blood flow down to lethal levels. Another similar condition also exists, known as “psychogenic death” otherwise known as “Give-Up-Itis” which is literally dying because you lost the will to live. A person suffers a traumatic event and goes into a complete withdrawal, they stop eating, bathing, lose interest in basic tasks until the point they’ll literally just lay in one spot until they die, they’ll shit themselves and not care, and people who have recovered from it describe themselves as not even being able to think. Like their brain had turned to mush and their thoughts were empty

She knows what Darth Vader/Anakin is. They aren't like two different individuals. They are the same. While both identites just cannot turn on the emperor, she knows both cannot STAND the misery that slavery brings. I still remember the episode where Vader finds out slave labor being used in the death star and Palpatine had to personally call him to say "It was needed, I did what was right. But I made a mistake to severely offend you".

The Sith claim that they are about passion, including love, but the thing is, where the Jedi see it as attachment leading to strong emotions that can lead to the dark side, the Sith see love as a weakness to be exploited. Palpy wouldn't stand for his apprentice being weak.

She ended up sparing the Twi'Lek's life which, in turn, led Malgus to spare the Jedi's life. After that event, Malgus realised that the Twi'Lek was his greatest weakness and, so, he killed her. He never got over the trauma of having killed her but to Sith, that pain is a gift - much like it was to Darth Vader much later on.

I like how their relationship was developed into less of a flat-out "Replacement Padme" scheme and more of a strange understanding between two kindred spirits (or, at least, that seems to be Vader's perspective). I guess from "a certain point of view," Sabe is to Padme what Vader sees himself as to Anakin Skywalker, a manifestation of all the things these two good/now dead people would never do--a shadow. It definately explains the exchange and Vader's anguished reaction at the end of the last issue, where Sabe believes that she alone sold her soul for the sake of those she loves and the greater good, to wheras Vader secretly disagreed, considering himself as having done the same.

Arguably, Sabé was closer with Padmé than Sola or anyone of the Naberrie family. I think that would be a wise way for them to connect with their mother.

Kinda wish Vader and Sabe would be a thing, the dark version of Padme and Anakin. Same bodies, different souls. Kinda mad simpin for her in this comic. She's ruthless, but in a way, trying to do what is good, and she's not afraid to get her hands dirty. She definitely gives the kinda head that makes you convulse like a seizing kid in hyperspace.

Lord Vader seeing Sabé only reminds him of his past, the sadness and anger of being a slave and becoming evil after losing his wife and mother. It's very traumatic how it gets stuck behind your head reminding losing an close person and then your just alone with depression for failing to save them.

The Senate has no body double that is ANYWHERE near as competent.

I'd happily watch a series where Keira Knightley is kicking Imperial butt and taking names.

Very interesting story this one was, I really liked Vader here and I think he showed the most nicest side of him he has ever shown apart from when he saved Luke.

*For those who don’t still don’t get it: This isn’t a Legends story. This was after Disney purchased Star Wars and Marvel Comics started giving them their own comic book line. I won’t say whether or not the stories are bad, but I will admit that I can’t help but feel like they focus on the ‘Anakin’ part of Darth Vader too much at this point in time. He is still a Sith Lord, and the one known for being driven by misery and regret to the degree where he intentionally destroys any chance he is given at a better life than what he already has, before Luke appears and tells him he’s still a good man who doesn’t need to wallow in the darkness.*

@@ShrekReacts Well there are other Vader comics that were released before this one. Most or all of them have moments where Vader’s inner Anakin shows, which got to the point where, combined, they showed it too much. That being said, with these comics taking place a year before Anakin’s revival, I don’t like the idea they’re painting, that Luke wasn’t the catalyst that saved his father but rather just another hammer that caused the cracks that were already there to finally shatter. It negatively affects the meaning behind those moments in Return of the Jedi and weakens it, and you can see or feel that in more than one way. In some ways, it’s like what Disney did in Kenobi with Obi-Wan and Leia when they gave us a needless reason why she recognized the name ‘Ben Kenobi’ in Episode IV.

@@teleportedbreadfor3days I find that more realistic though. when a mind is broken like that it can take years and years of healing it doesn't just happen besides the way I interpret this comic is that it wasnt enough to have just a girl that looks like padme. while she was sort of trying to help him turn back to the light its not really what padme would have wanted and vader sees that. padme was not a jedi so light or dark it never really mattered, things only started to break when she saw her love's perception become twisted. as I see it she would rather theyd run away from both the jedi and the sith and be safe. Luke in vader's mind was his only chance to set things "right" if padme could not be at his side then the only person left from her would suffice. however after all these years waiting he finally gets it in his head that it doesn't matter. he saw his son crying for help at the emporer's feet and then it triggers in his mind once again of that moment on mustifar. he might have been relieving those moments before in this comic but not in a way that just hits right for it to snap

@@Gothicgirlscout What others didn’t have was that Luke was Anakin’s son and his approach was different from those around him, besides just the fact that Luke promised to bring his father back into the light rather than ‘improve’ his position in the darkness. Vanquishing Vader and becoming him are the same thing. Luke truly became a Jedi that day when he refused to kill Vader. These comics are only written to be entertaining and nothing more in the end, which isn’t good. This series in particular weakens the meaning, feelings, impact, practically everything which made up Luke’s great moment in Return of the Jedi that lead to Anakin destroying Vader and overthrowing (literally) the Emperor, especially his leap of faith. Luke was the catalyst, yes, but not for Anakin’s redemption, he was more than a catalyst for *that;* He was the catalyst for the Prophecy of the Chosen One, he who will destroy the Sith and bring Balance to the Force. As a side note, it’s arguable that Anakin was destined to do this without turning to the Dark Side, to become the wisest and most powerful Jedi who ever lived, but Darth Sidious, being a Sith that openly defies the Will of the Force, acted against the Prophecy when he corrupted Anakin and turned him into Darth Vader and against the Jedi like a weapon. With that in mind, the Prophecy was forced to adjust in its fulfillment by having Anakin destroy Darth Vader and kill Darth Sidious, eradicating the Baneite Sith and cleaning the slate with the supremacy of the Dark Side no longer there to continue the imbalance. After all, Balance in the Force in Star Wars is Supremacy of the Light: Life, prosperity, serenity - This is because the Dark Side is a gateway to the unnatural and unlimited power that causes organic tissue to corrode, hence why Sith like Sidious seem to have such disfigured faces for using it so much. And in case you decide to bring up Count Dooku if you don’t believe what I said about Balance in the Force is true, which it actually is btw, Count Dooku only ever used the Dark Side infrequently like a tool, hence why he’s still got his mother’s good looks.

Would love to see either Portman or Knightely in this role at some point. Obviously it was Knightely originally in the role but if she has no interest in returning they could easily recast it to Portman.

I love this! I hope they stay a pair for awhile, and even end of positive terms. Like he forces her to leave the empire’s service to save her life, or something. I loved seeing her talk to him as Anakin, and him accepting that’s who he was, again!

the way Darth Vader is holding the handmaiden who looks exactly like Padme and the way Darth Vader holds her waistline, it seems Darth Vader still loves Padme Amedala and still has a hot for her.. if only Darth Vader did not burnt his " crotch lightsaber" or just accepted Emperor Palpatines's robotic pleasure replacement lightsaber but hey, its Darth Vader and he has this celibacy code..

Sith doctrine encourages paranoia. It makes sense Vader would build a collection of individuals he could "trust". If he was ever going to take the empire from Sidious, he'd need ruthless operatives who were loyal to him and not palpatine or the empire itself. Even if she reminds him of the life he left behind, Sabe is too useful to just disgard.

It would be nice to see some of this in short animted stories like Dooku's. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE seeing Vader demolish shit but seeing that there IS still a person in there and not just a murderbot would be an awesome premise for a 3 to 4 episode one shot type thing.

The way they portray darth vader in the comics kind of shows that he isn't pure evil, but that he is a broken man who is conflicted every which way he goes.
