@BitBuhkit I've always jumped in to help out. In fact I destroyed my ankle while helping out a disabled veteran last winter. I'm the guy that friends turn to when they need help or something done. I just don't broadcast what I do but being you questioned me as to being someone who is do as I say, not as I do, I guess I do need to what I don't like doing, broadcasting what I do for others.

It sure is great fun watching you guys doing your thing! You guys enjoy what you do and I appreciate being able to be a part of it! Thank you!
Honestly it’s a shame Merlin and Paul don’t live a bit closer. They egg each other on and everything is so entertaining. Hunter does the same and it’s top notch entertainment.

"I built this thing so I could go up to the parts store to get actually get parts when it breaks down somewhere!" is probably one of the funniest things Paul has ever pulled out of his hat. I literally lol'd to the point of tears. I'm gonna have to steal that one.
Merlin is great person to be know, his connections/network are limitless. Plus his knowledge is incredible
Days like that are exhausting! Hot, multiple tries at the same problem, and Merlin kicking Paul while he's down. Best entertainment on KZread!
Man, if I weren't 2,500 miles from Rusty's, I'd be hollerin', 'Road trip!' That looks gooood!
Great insight on what a trip to a dyno with someone who knows what they are doing can do for you

Hunter's collection of projects just reveals his confidence in his ability to fix stuff. I have the same confidence. Unfortunately my wife is not a believer. She keeps asking when I'm going to get rid of all that junk. It's only been behind the garage for 4 or 5 years.

It's always fun when Merlin and Paul get together, but ad Jet Ski Jim, Sean, Hunter and the EFI crew it's a blast.
Merlin really earns his name, doesn't he ? What a great friend to have !!

As a beekeeper that gets calls for 'bee swarms' - like you all do for off road rescues - that almost always turn out to be wasps, thanks. Appreciate you all pointing out the difference now and then. Stay safe and enjoy!
Amazing Power and a real Team effort on replacing Fuel pump, you guys ROCK!!!
Hunter has become a "product of his environment". That's not always a bad thing 🤔😉🤣
It's so cool to listen to engine guys talking technical stuff!
I grew up in an automotive shop also had a machine shop in the family that had a similar ethos. This is how good old mechanics got things done.
Nothing more fun than hanging out with gear heads and enjoying a project. Put headers on a 340 Cuda back in the 70's for a bud and it took ten of us. Some helped, some watched, but listening to uncorked start up...... priceless at 2 am!! Fun show. Good luck and looking forwards to how you do. You are a pup Paul.
I am amazed at the modern tuning technology, absolutely awesome. Thanks guys. Central California watching.
At 30 yrs old Hunter will be glad he grew up this way. He is techy and kinda mechanical. its a win win.
Saw you guys towing the FJ between Bolder City and Searchlight. I go to my wife all excited "Look its Fab rats" she went back to her phone lol

Spinning wheels, fine tuning, increasing response and hp. Thanks for the donations Merlin.
And now I know why I saw you guys in the interstate 40 last week headed back to Utah while I was headed towards kingman AZ!!!
Props on having the FJ tuned before 24hrs to hell and back! Most don't know the 5.13 gear kills the hp numbers, but help the torque numbers.
Stand ups are my favorite toy to play on. You can do river trips or just have it at the lake and go screw around for 20 mins and come back in they’re harder to ride than most people think. Especially those older ones with the narrower hull
I would def use the tire with the bubble in it for the FJ dyno runs.
I am liking 300 HP she sounds great .you have quite the crew on this video well done guy's
With sticky/Wide tires ( slicks) You would get more ! And rocking the Polar Pop ! Very nice video . Thanks for sharing !
It's nice to have friends in hot places! LOL!! Havasu is a great place... as long as you like heat. Been there a bunch of times. The FJ is sounding pretty sweet now that you got it tuned. HP guess 320 , Nice to see hunter up on first go, he is going to be hooked.
man she sounded nice after the pump was swapped
Paul, if you put the trailer tires on the wrecker and then dyno it. You'll probably pick up 100 hp at the wheels. Just because you're not turning the massive tires. IMO, it would be a great idea to get that motor properly tuned as well.
I had guessed 250 and 350. I was a little off before, and then way off after. But it's still impressive!
I recently watched a video from a previous 24 hours to hell and back. The FJ looks good but but I don't think you are really ready. Nobody can be ready for that. Its properly named. Can't wait to see it. :D
Eggs Benedict FTW!! Anywhere I go in my travels I ALWAYS get the EB!!
Awesome!
400ci and less than 300hp? I’m guessing you kept the tuning conservative to help it live longer? Not a bad plan really, especially if the torque number was decent. That’s a cool truck! 👍
@CraftwerksMC
10 ай бұрын
I was a little surprised at the low numbers my own self. I could see being under 350 with the bigger tires but with the modifications Merlin quoted and the small trailer tires it should easily have hit 350 or more. Maybe it’s a stingy dyno and really conservative tune.
The new camera is a great addition! I appreciate the higher quality video (I know it's harder to shoot, store, edit, and export!) Not everyone will notice but those that do appreciate it for sure!
THANK YOU PAUL! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Merlin is well-named; he's a wizard!!!
Well my numbers were 275 pretune then 283 after. Didnt think of gearing. The Rocklights looked super good Paul.
Respect to Paul for being smart enough to be realistic about his expectations. Some people will bolt $500 of eBay tat to their engine, expect it to make 400hp and then, with dyno' tuning, another 100hp extra. People who've been around expect to be "disappointed" by dyno' results, and the results of tuning.
Dare I say he is tighter with Hunter than he is with his boys? I'm SURE I'm wrong. Paul is a great family man. LOVE this channel!

Yeah that’s a bummer on the Dino numbers! I was guessing a little better than 300 maybe 325! oh well, at least it’s running better, right?🤩 great video guys👍🏼🫡🤩❤️
Paul I have an idea 💡 maybe you could put a inspection plate about the fuel pump so that way you never have to go through the trouble of pulling a gas tank at all.
At the start Hunter was looking for a saying. In Australia we say "He who sleeps with dogs wakes up with fleas. 😂
My dear friend, I follow you from a very long distance from TURKEY. I admire the tools you make. But the vehicle of a master of everything like you must have at least 500 hp. It must be stronger and more beautiful than Mr. Matt's vehicles. I hope you can make the engine of that vehicle 500 hp as soon as possible. Stay well.

@@KrisD007 My dear friend. Yes, I follow you from the other side of the world with pleasure and excitement. I really like the off road vehicles you make. Because you do it with pleasure. If I lived in America, I would like to have an off road vehicle built for you. Even now, I would like to have it done, but it is very difficult to bring it here. Every offroad vehicle you make climbs everywhere like a goat. But I recommend you to build one 400-500 hp goat, everyone should point out that goat. God bless you.
