Hi there! Great question, no, the sharks teeth don't affect the integrity and strength of the wood. You can email us at info@canemasters.com if you need anything else.

Is the 7/8 hickory cane too small/narrow, not strong enough for sharks teeth?

Hi there! 7/8" Hickory is still strong and hard even with a sharks teeth since it doesn't affect the wood strength and integrity. It's just that it looks thinner than the standard size. You can email us at info@canemasters.com if you need anything.

Thanks. I have the 32 Boxing Cane and the FTB Training Cane, both are 7/8 octagonal. I think the Boxing Cane is oak but the FTB cane is hickory. I like how quickly the 7/8" cane handles. @@CaneMasters-WalkingCanes
