I'm a devoted fan of Cesar from way back. I've seen this episode twice. I so admire how well Priscilla did. She listened, learned, and incorporated what Cesar taught her. The many people who apply for Cesar's help should watch this video so they can see what it means to be a responsible, emotionally healthy human. This charming, intelligent owner put her fear and ego aside and transformed her extremely difficult red zone dog. Brava, Priscilla!

@RR-on4sk

That dog didn't come from a shelter (it would've been neutered if it did) -- sounds like she got it as a puppy (says he was normal until he hit a year old). The bad behavior was coming from her and her family, for whatever reason. I personally think they needed to ask Cesar to keep him. The dog wasn't even excited to see her or the bf. He was still lashing out during the follow up. Something about that environment is making the dog unsettled.
Jax 😭 no doubt they’d be ok with neutering the dog because it’s crazy they thought they’d need to put him down entirely before even considering fixing a part of him first (esp. since aggression was an issue). Cesar’s message about fixing animals is accurate.
@kittywilhite9583
7 ай бұрын
First thing I thought of when she said that the aggression didn't begin until he was one year old. But, for a dog's health, it is best to wait until they are two years old if you can. They need their hormones in order to grow properly.

My dog became so much calmer, good on the leash & concentrated more on training when we did the snip snip. I didn't want to do because people said it could change his sweet character, but it also became dangerous for him, because he would run away on walks when he would smell a female. He wouldn't listen anymore & it was frustrating. But he went through puberty 1st & as far as I know, it's important.
@RR-on4sk
Ай бұрын
Unfortunately, if you wait to late, neutering won't make a difference. Like of you have an aggressive, intact male that's 5yrs or older, is unlikely neutering will change anything. They got extremely lucky his behavior started later (a yr old) & he was only 2 yrs old when neutered. Let's be honest -- his behavior has to do with her. I've owned intact males that don't even hump, nor act aggressive. While neutering can reduce some aggressiveness, it's never the entire picture. In his follow up, that dog is still problem. You can tell. Are should've surrendered as soon as the dog didn't get excited to see her after being a part from her.
There were so many issues here and Cesar took his time and addressed every one of them, from the dogs intact frustration to Priscilla’s not knowing how to provide leadership, which this dog so desperately needed. Cesar is just great at what he does.
So many dog owners have the ability to handle their dogs but do not realize it. This young gal accepted Cesar's help, and it really saved her dog! This is Cesar's talent.....so fortunate to have him to help. Watching how all his animals behave enforces his "way" in training. I had horses for many years and was involved in 4H. I had to train the kids; and teach them how to retrain some pretty confused horses! Same philosophy that Cesar uses works pretty much across the board. And I loved the longer episode! Thank you!!

The fact that Priscilla came up with her own thing was so cute. I feel for her though. Someone led her to believe that she’s not good enough. It was either her parents or someone close to her. But creating her own technique shows how creative and smart she can be and not everybody get to be both.
@kittywilhite9583

I don't think it was about being "good enough". Some cultures just encourage women to be meek and a little bit helpless and subordinate. When I lived in Hawaii I noticed that many of the Japanese women wouldn't even state facts but had to say everything as if asking a question. It's easy to confuse meekness which is a positive trait with weakness which is a negative trait. It was beautiful to see Priscilla realize that it was ok to be strong.
I was so glad you addressed his intact-ness. I was thinking they're not planning to breed this dog (I hope), why is he not neutered? And besides happy, he looks so trim and springy now.

I’m so grateful to my father for teaching me how to handle the dogs we had when I was young. I learned to be kind, but firm and consistent. My vet has commented more than once how well behaved our dogs are over the 30 years he’s cared for our animals. One thing I insist on to other owners is to never leave your dog unattended around children, no matter how gentle. All it takes is one too many pokes in a sensitive place, like the eye, or interfering with the dog’s food and the dog could nip the child. It’s what they do with their puppies, but puppies have hair to protect their skin. People need to do research not only on the type of dog they are taking in but also in how to properly raise them.

I wish every parent would watch this! Instill confidence in your children!
Without our viewing video of Cesar Milan, we would have had to destroy our Pit.... 10 years later Gretta is here. We understand better. Thank you for your heart, Cesar and for your brave report that it is the human who causes canine behavior to become destructive. I am the leader in my pack. It works.....
I cried twice during this show. Maybe three times hehe. I definitely understand Pricilla and how it feels to lack confidence. Although I can easily become that confident person when I need to be, I really get what it's like to lack confidence on the inside and how that comes across in life matters. I have always had animals since toddler age and so I am confident with them. But with humans I am not always very confident and that has got me picked on a lot in life. I love watching Cesar's shows because they teach me a lot about myself and how to act in my environment and I always welcome behavioral advice when it comes to dogs... My favorite animals. Thank you. So many Dogs have been tortured because people hate the Dog for behavior that people have created. It is ALWAYS the People who create the pain.
So touching how the humans are transformed and their dogs helped. Poor pups! Great job, Cesar!
