Didn't think I would have to clarify this but a lot of people need to consider digesting words before responding to them so: I Never Called Gehlee Dangca A Mean Girl. Stop putting words in my mouth. My actual words, which I have written down as I said them, were: "Something about her personality reminds me a lot of the type of girls I went to school with that *I never got along with* and I’m hoping she proves me wrong...". If you are reading "mean girl" from that then I don't know what to tell you. Sometimes you just don't mesh with people or certain personality types and that is okay, that does not make someone a "mean girl" or whatever else you want to claim I called her. All I said about the performance is she's pretty, she got in her own way a little bit on stage which was actually *Sejeong's* words, I just agreed with them, and at the end of the day I just called the judgement fair because it was a toss up for me, too. Sorry if this sounds annoyed or frustrated because I am annoyed and frustrated. If you're having difficulty understanding what I'm saying because I'm moving on too fast, turn on the subtitles, I put in the effort to upload them for a reason.

which part of her personality do you mean? I think Gehlee has a great personality! When she chose her opponent, she could've easily chosen someone she thinks she can defeat.But she didnt. Gehlee chose Jayla because she thinks Jayla is a worthy opponent and that they would be a perfect match and she was even cheering for Jayla during Jayla's performance. I mean, Gehlee as her own person, in those few moments, showed she has confidence and a great character.

It wasn't anything specific and I never said her personality was bad, just something when I was watching her intro reminded me of girls I used to know in elementary (6-16), nothing deeper than that.

Also the personality she tries to show is her experience from beauty pageantry thats why she wore a sash. Also I love both Gehlee and Jayla. As they said, its rare for these two to appear in kpop. like Jayla who look like a female lead from an american teen drama and Gehlee who look she came out from Disney animation film. Both have different charams thats I think they are a perfect match.

I think it has more to do with the connotations of what you said. Personally, I can understand what you mean without putting malice into it even if I don't agree. But, I also get why it can so easily be seen in a bad light because the idea you described of 'girls you never got along with', no one would associate it with a positive or even a neutral feeling. You can't really invalidate how they'd feel about that the same way they can't invalidate your views.

Actually, someone on the subreddit posted a picture from Instagram that confirms that Yeji and Chaeryong visited both teams but only aired them visiting the winners team. i'm assuming they only aired the winners being visited because if the challengers still did badly after Yeji and Chae coached them, it would likely look bad on Yeji/Chae ??

Very different opinion that i have about Gehlee vs Jayla. For me Gehlee her voice was way better then Jayla's. Even performance wise I think Gehlee brought more to the stage. Both are on my vote list though. But to me it felt more like Jayla was carrying her perfomance with her looks then that Gehlee was.

same here! i dont get mean girl vibes from gehlee at all. I mean the song that she chose wasnt kick it by nct. it was pretty girl, the choreo is easy and the whole point is to be pretty, thats the concept, and gehlee was very charismatic on stage like it came natural to her. gehlee also has one of the best voices on the show. jaylas vocals were so so underwhelming, her dance was good tho

Those 2 votes of gehlee are probably from Adora(soloist) and Younha(soloist) since they think her vocals are good. 3 votes for Jayla from Rian(dancer/choreographer), Sejong(idol) and Hyeoyeon(idol) because Jayla did dance better and has a good stage presence. Now you know why.

Respectfully disagreeing with your Gehlee opinion. The entire concept of the song she performed was to be pretty. Her vocals were stable and could also hold the right pitch despite the jumping around. I personally don't get any mean vibes from her. Confident, yes but not mean. Not too mad with Jayla winning since she's actually good but I definitely preferred Gehlee's performance better since her overall presentation seemed more natural (I think it's a natural charisma that she has. Leo energy?) compared to Jayla's which despite being good, seemed to be a bit more rehearsed and calculated. It was missing the kind of oomph and attitude of the original Queencard. Like you said, she was kinda trying a bit much to be Yuqi or Minnie.

I don’t like the industries sudden obsession with minors and I don’t like how they are trying to sexualize them it’s so messed up

just an observation, but i rlly hate when the goal of a show is to create a 7+ member group & have the contestants perform a song that was originally by a 4 or 5 membered group. not everyone gets a chance to shine & the performance ends up looking messy. i think it's why twice & other big group covers are done so well in survival shows unlike blackpink covers. also can we pls stop performing "tell me". ik it's gotten very popular right now, but i would argue that it doesn't showcase many talents other than synchronization & not even a big focus on it.

the standout performers from tell me & tt for me were tell me - yona & jessica. though yona didn't do much with her facial expressions, i thought she carried herself rlly well & her voice is rlly nice. jessica i thought did the best. her energy & vocals were rlly on point, i enjoyed it! tt - oh daeun, nako, gabi, & vu linh dan this entire team was just great. even with eunhyung being off-key, she still performed rlly well. oh daeun was the best for me, i loved her facial expressions. she captured the song rlly well.

the dress for solo is so cute... it couldve been styled and layered making it age appropriate and comfortable what even is this show

1:23 THIS!! I know they are trying to make it make more interesting or whatever, but I find that creating such a hateful ambient between the contestants is not going to make them work well as group. Like they need to have at least a healthy co-worker relationship between them or the chesmistry and team work is going to die down (and that ambient also creates more toxic solo stans and more in-fighting). I'm not saying they have to be friends with everyone, but healthy competions and healthy rivalries exists, ffs. It's one of the reasons why I don't like survival shows.

Nana, Elisia, Seowon, Gabi, Sunwoo, Narumi, Haram, Yunha, Sumin, Sujin, Hyeonju, Yeram, Yoona, Jayla and Nizi are so pretty and talented both singing and dancing (rapping could possibly one). These people deserved to be an idol. Some are lacking a bit. And also, this video is just her opinion so stop dropping arguments on the comments hahahaha.

2:43 i keep hearing this and it's still baffling to me how people still think those are safety shorts and a dress. by definition, a dress that short can NOT be titled as a dress or even a mini dress, and those are obviously shorts. no stylist in their right mind would use actual safety shorts for an outfit like this, it just doesnt even make sense. the whole outfit is supposed to mimic jennie's styling for solo, which was always TOP and BOTTOM, not just a DRESS. still not defending the outfit choice since those shorts are VERY short for a teen

Girl, that was the best audition I've seen in a while (although there wasn't much singing), the dancing was like 10 to 100 in a good way... but it was a lot of acrobatics. Still impressive, I thought she was the Chungha and Chaeyeon of this season audition wise. But idk why they didn't show her in the show (going off this and ep 1 review)

Jayla won against Gehlee because she had more passion in becoming a kpop idol. My impression of Gehlee is that she just auditioned because she just saw this as an opportunity (to become famous, successful or to have fun) and not because this is her dream. She said it herself in the introduction, she grabs whatever opportunity comes her way. It is up to you how you interpret her statement. But I have to say, I would like to root for a trainee that auditioned because she knows what being a kpop idol really is like and that that is her passion, her dream. So in comparison, I would like to root more for Elisia rather than Gehlee. But obviously, Gehlee is the PD's favorite, it is not yet clear to me why is that, but I assume because of her unique visual.

I think both Gehlee and Elisia are the PD's favorites. They both got decent screentime + got their first performances shown and Elisia in particular got to be one of the singers of the show's theme song.
