I’m all for buying legit and quality parts, but for some people I can see being almost $200 to be a bit extreme. If the only thing that’s really an “issue” is the coating sucks, but it still will hold zero, I see this being a better option for the average person. Plus if people are like me and spray paint their stuff then the anodizing won’t even matter lol.
Been using one of these in Ukraine it’s good to go. This guy is a princess wants everything clean and no salt lol. I changed out the screws and rattle can olive drab good to go. 2 months of active combat and still holding zero. Trying to find a knock off 3x mag mount

Check my latest video. Using FTC Unity Clone mount to hold aimpoint 3x magnifier also a clone. So far has held zero for me & has all markings.
Are you really worried about scratches and finish in a SHTF scenario? Does it hold the optic? Does it stay secure on the rail?
Would be interesting to mark the screws on the clone to see if you ever notice the screws walking themselves out
I tried one and couldn't get used to the height overbore and can't fit my ar into the tennis bag with it on.
I went ahead and ordered the no-name copy cat from Amazon just to see if I want to go with the name brand in the future. Even if I don’t like the cheapo, I’m only out $35
$200 for a small piece of aluminum is outrageous.
I paint all my stuff myself and I actually use my gear so I could care less about a few scratches on my gear that I train with. As long as it holds zero and screws dont back out then it’s a go for me. Not everyone keeps their stuff in their safe so it’s kinda tough to spend $175.00 on a riser. That’s the price of the one for a MRO and that’s what I run. On my MCX.
so in conclusion. the only real issue you had was "bad anodizing"... it retains zero... real one is 180 bucks for a piece of metal. sorry but i'm getting the clone XD
I have 2 UT FM and I love them. I’ve been on waiting list for the SKIFF, and it feels like they’ll never be in stock. So, I ended getting a Hydra Mount. Math wise, it’s cheaper to get Hydra Mount and throw ur Micro on top with a laser. Best set up u can have for home defense. If ur just plinking the gun for fun, get the Chinese Clone with a $150 Holosun Micro Clone.
It is an awesome mount I own several call unity and get the real screws and back plate for it why pay 180 when you could pay $30 It is machine from a solid block of aluminum and hold up to tremendous abuse bro I’m all about the good shit but for this particular item these clones are pretty damn good they hold 0 on 556 300 blackout and 22 in my experience Cerakote a lot of my shit anyway so they anodizing is not an issue

Every gimmic possible SHTF fun. Wow
So besides the cosmetics, how has it held zero and has it came loose repeatedly?

@@m2elitetactical587 I’m thinking of one for a Holosun on a range gun. Might do it now. Thanks 🙏
so just buy 1$ in screws? Awesome!!!
I buy blem products as much as possible, i give zero craps what it looks like as long as it works. And if it is a fraction of the cost that’s even better!!
Seems like it’s a solid deal. Who cares what it looks like.
Does that knock off unity actually hold zero though?

The 2 time I went to the range, the zero was still good. I was not a fan of the finish and the mounting screws. They both felt cheap. I don’t feel they it will hold up heavy use. I will be replacing with an real fast mount.

That's what I have done. I stripped it and upgraded the hardware and it's flawless
So your only issue was cosmetic? Guns are supposed to be used and aren’t supposed to be pretty.
Who cares about the finish!
Have a look at the pts official one it's finish is much better although it don't have any recoil lugs it should be completely fine on 9mm or 45acp guns
Tactical gear is way overpriced to begin with. If I can find a knock-off that works almost as well as the original but costs a fifth of the price, I'll buy it. Not like it's an optic or a BCG, it's a mount...as long as it doesn't fall off or loose zero, I'm okay. It may not be as durable as the real thing, but I'm not going to combat with it either. When you have multiple guns, spending $100-$200 on a "name brand" mount gets old in a hurry.

The eBay knockoff ones are legit. Been holding zero after a few hundred rounds with Primary Arms red dot. 👍
