Man that wrighty story at the end got me emotional. Can only imagine how he might of felt out of place or uncomfortable to start given his late professional start and to have someone treat him like that making him feel unwelcome. It's enough to make some players never recover, to have the career he did shows truly his mental strength and desire. Love you Ian the people's hero

It's very wholesome to see Roy Keane and Ian Wright have this wonderful friendship. Lot of folks don't know but they also shared a fairly aggressive rivalry on the pitch. Apparently sometime in the 90s Keane and Wright got into an argument during the game and Keane taunts him with "Where's your winners medal? Talk when you have one" or something along those lines. So end of 97/98 when Ian wright finally wins a PL. After he got the medal, he found the nearest camera and jokingly says "Look Roy, a PL medal". Rivals on the pitch to great friends off of it. Love their story.

Don't normally comment on these podcasts but I have to say how much I love this 1 , 4 brilliant ex footballers and great to hear their stories and opinions, Wrighty's story about the bullying he had to put up with at Palace was great to hear and see how it affected him but didn't stop him from becoming 1 of arsenal greatest strikers, fair play to him for telling that story and how much it affected him, can't wait for the next one, thank you all

Roy and Gary often have to follow his comments by bringing the topic back to the larger point that he's missing. One example is the late fine sheet, yes how it's spent is an issue, but he kept going back to that when the obvious important issue is that is exists at all. Ian seems to always do this, not just on this show, as well as not being very articulate. Again, nice guy, just fast forward to when he's done talking.

This show really is becoming something more . Never a bad episode always interesting topics , but the chemistry between these ex pros is what brings us here , the reason it's so captivating is because we all know what all of them have done in the game and all of them achieved at the very top . Such a great series ! Big shoutout to the production and all the guys behind the scenes aswell because this show is probably the best football show about atm ❤

It's beautiful to see these guy's displaying genuine warmth ,affection and respect for each other given the bitter and confrontational battles they had during their playing days .😊

This has got to be one of the best football shows out there. Top top cast..Wrightys story at the end, hats off for opening up and talking about it. But Roy’s compassion also is top notch. Real stand up guys

I LOVE how angry Neville is with this United team. His comments at 34:00 are so spot on. Absolutely love it.

Love Wrighty's honesty and courage to talk about the realities. So very refreshing.

At 4.36 you can see Roy enjoying Pep mispronouncing Micah's name and Roy's thinking how he can use that later.

Four colleagues having a good discussion, and providing a service at the same time with their knowledge. Brilliant and natural.

We need a reality TV show that follows Roy and Wrighty for a month. Absolute legends, they're great together. Such real people.

Keano saying his biggest sacrifice as a player was missing out on family functions and weddings. Basically saying he sacrificed the sesh.. Respect!

Ian's such a good guy. Great insights too, always offers a different perspective or interesting question

28:49 the other lads didn't pick up on it, but Roy talking about being late for bus with Ireland was actually the very start of his 'feud' with Mick McCarthy.

Few episodes behind so catching up on them all now. Best football show on YT. Wrighty and Keano’s friendship is heartwarming for the soul 🥹 that wee shoulder tap at the end shows why Roy was such a successful captain.

I honestly think this is so successful because lads relate to all 4 of these guys 😂. Every group has got a Gary, Carra, Wrighty and Keano haha

Wrightys Jim cannon story at the end was as real as this pod cast will ever get. So pleased he told it. And so pleased you gave him the pause and space to give it in full interrupted. Very human.

The first few minutes of this are awesome. Seeing them sort of behind the scenes getting their make up on, having a normal conversation is amazing.
