He played a great role. Well done David. So much respect. The background music simply beautiful, ending just got me I couldn't hold the tears 😔 Proud to be a red proud to be a red. The flowers of English football the flowers off Manchester. RIP Busby Babes ❤🇾🇪
I was crying long before but that shot where he's looking at them ready to go out and he sees the original lineup just killed me.. I literally shouted at the screen "WHY did you have to do that??? WHY!!" :'(
"Who'll carry this flag?" "I will" Jimmy Murphy said with a tear in his eye.
I’m a die hard United fan for 40 years. The scene in the tunnel always makes me cry 😭 looking back at the boys that smile from Pegg and Edwards heart breaking! C’mon boys!

This film made me cry so much. And being a mu fan it hit home
This was a great film to be part of. I was one of the rescuers who puts Matt Busby (Dougray Scott) into the ambulance in the plane crash scene. I met David when he was shooting the coming to Newcastle train station scene whilst on my day off.
Tennet should be proud, played Jimmy perfectly.... Its a wonderful piece of TV that makes me cry each time..... Made Manchester proud
This film was amazing. Tennant is far, FAR, and away the finest actor of his generation. x
The entire show was a great tribute and reminder of a terrible tragedy. The scene where David (jimmy Murphy) is in the board room and tells the board united will go on no matter what , not only as a united fan but as a person that scene hit me

Totally agree. MUFC fan for nearly 60 years.
I actually saw David Tennant in this film and he was fantastic, I thought he did a great job. I wasn't sure what to expect because I hadn't seen him in anything else before but he ended up being one of my favorites in the movie.

"actually" saw...Not sure why you need to use the word "actually" here. Would it not be sufficient to say that you saw David Tennant in this film ? Just asking...
Watching this 65 years on from the actual event, when I was just 6 years old. By the time I was 10 I’d made my first trip to see a live match and have followed them ever since. A very difficult watch for anyone who loves the club and for many others, such is their legacy.
The tell the tale of what happened in a superb way - very emotional indeed. Certainly worth watching whether you are a football fan or not.
Certain details people may quibble? Like Mark Jones names as captain, and the writing out of the actual captain, Roger Byrne...who died too.
This movie was so sad. I cried at the end.
Didn't know about this film.... going to seek it out and watch it. I recently handed over my fathers football scrapbook from his days in the early 50's playing in United's junior teams, Colts and the A team, alongside some of the Babes (Davd Pegg, Albert Scanlon, Bill Foulkes, Jackie Blanchflower, Geoff Bent, Mark Jones) to the United Museum archive. Although my father wasn't involved in Munich in any way, despite my curiosity, he wouldn't talk about it. I think it affected him deeply.
This disaster is similar to what happened to the Marshall University Football Team, their plane crashed in bad weather (Southern Airways 932), they also had to rebuild a team after incredible tragedy. May the all the dead Rest In Peace.

I've never heard of this movie which is odd because I'm a big fan of both a Man U and David Tennant . Now I just need to find the movie somewhere and watch it.
I broke my leg playing football on the school playground in Doncaster at almost the same time as the crash. My grandmother took me to the Doncaster Royal Infirmary and told me of the crash as my leg was about to be set in plaster. David Pegg was from Highfields to the North of Doncaster and his funeral atracted hundreds of mourners.
david is awesome
great film...sad story!! GGMU

And even non United fans who love the sport
Research was not thorough...tim healy shud've played jimmy murphy as he was his stature and nature, mark jones was not captain, roger byrne was and he and tommy taylor being major players along with edwards shud've been a big part of the doc..baffles me to why..plus jones did not enter a football field smoking a pipe..that said crash scenes where near perfect to actual reports.
Rip all who died
Ask Sandy Busby what he thought of the film.Ask a Welshman what he thinks of Tennants "Welsh" accent.
Cute sweater.
It was a great tribute very well done. Tennant was excellent as Jimmy. Why spoil the interview by mentioning a Liverpool player? When will we get an investigation, not a whitewash, into the Heysel Liverpool disaster?
Who the hell dis-liked this!

Tomadeuce He's drawing parallels with major English footballers of the contemporary era, not necessarily those who played with Manchester United. Beckham was no longer a United player at this point.

Love his speach, beats the fuck out Ole's I bet...looking simple with no plan A or anything....hoping Box don't get skinned and Ma-shull don't bottle it every game!!!
Badly miscast in the role. Looked nothing like Jimmy Murphy and was too young.
