an electric atmosphere at old trafford should be like this every week! this is just the players entrance before the match and the minutes silence for the munich dead. i will not be uploading parts of the match tho cuz of copyright i hope you can respect this by not removing the video, thank you.

Big respect to City fans who kept their word, the minute silence was when where a city united. The support from Both Manchester City and Real Madrid at the time will not be forgotten. I love how both teams and fans stood side by side then. I thank City fans for showing respect. This is from a Manchester United fan. For me Manchester is the best city in world and it should be the capital of football.

From a Liverpool fan. The incident was devastating in itself. Sir Matt Busby was a player for us and the players lost on that night were a pride of the nation at that time. Rest in Peace the Busby babes

I was proud to be a City fan that day. Showing respect for anybody who has their life cut short should transcend football rivalries and I'm happy to reiterate the commentator's thoughts that day. For a short time, we were a city united ... and an example to the rest of the sporting world. Great video.
Martin Tyler, greatest commentator ever. The way he changes his voice to suit the occasion is second to none. Rip busby babes. We loved u den, we love u now

I'm a Man City fan and that comment you posted, says it all about you. People who chant about the Munich air disaster, are the ones who lack intelligence and are ignorant. Some people in that tragic accident were also former Man City players. I hate Man United with a passion, but disrespecting a tragedy is taking it to far. People like you don't deserve to be a football fan.

Agreed. I hate City as much as you hate United, but I'd never dream about chanting about a disaster if it happened to your club. Same goes for Liverpool and Hillsborough.
One cold and bitter Thursday in Munich, Germany, Eight great football stalwarts conceded victory, Eight men will never play again who met destruction there, The flowers of English football, the flowers of Manchester Matt Busby’s boys were flying, returning from Belgrade, This great United family, all masters of their trade, The pilot of the aircraft, the skipper Captain Thain, Three times they tried to take off and twice turned back again. The third time down the runaway disaster followed close, There was slush upon that runaway and the aircraft never rose, It ploughed into the marshy ground, it broke, it overturned. And eight of the team were killed as the blazing wreckage burned. Roger Byrne and Tommy Taylor who were capped for England’s side. And Ireland’s Billy Whelan and England’s Geoff Bent died, Mark Jones and Eddie Colman, and David Pegg also, They all lost their lives as it ploughed on through the snow. Big Duncan he went too, with an injury to his brain, And Ireland’s brave Jack Blanchflower will never play again, The great Matt Busby lay there, the father of his team Three long months passed by before he saw his team again. The trainer, coach and secretary, and a member of the crew, Also eight sporting journalists who with United flew, and one of them Big Swifty, who we will ne’er forget, the finest English ‘keeper that ever graced the net. Oh, England’s finest football team its record truly great, its proud successes mocked by a cruel turn of fate. Eight men will never play again, who met destruction there, the flowers of English football, the flowers of Manchester
Forever remembered, remembered forever. To the Busby Babes who landed in Munich and never took off again, you will forever be with us. RIP.
I have huge respect for Manchester City fans for the way they conducted themselves in that act of remembrance. Thank you.
UNITED WILL NEVER DIE Rip those who perished in Munich '58

I just wanted to say 5 words. Thank you Manchester City faithful. Divided in support, united in respect. Superbly behaved, and even though there will always be a rivalry, that special day will always be a special moment shared between the red and blue sides of Manchester.
Tears when they started singing we'll never die in high voice. Very nice to see a nice gesture from City too. Fantastic. Liverpool wouldn't ever do such a thing like this. Bring on Sunday we'll do City a favor come on reds!! 🇾🇪

@@wehatethemancs7075 Your username just shows you seriously need to grow up. And just because some of our fans aren't respectful that doesn't mean you have to be disrespectful. 95% United fans show there respects unfortunately some don't. Some of Liverpool fans are like that too not all of them are. "The reason we dont" Just shows how scummy you are. And that's why people dislike you lot. Sort that out and maybe people will respect you. And don't be a hypocrite either.
Absolutely amazing how tragedy can bring two strong opponents together in mutual respect.

I'm an Arsenal fan, and I must say I have nothing but respect for the way Man Utd paid tribute to that tragedy. The plain kits reminded everyone I spoke to of a time when football was pure, and about the game, not the names on the back of the shirt or the sponsors on the front. In a time when the FA wants to ruin our league and take it all over the world, United and City have actually reminded me what football's supposed to be about
such a moving moment where both fans are rasing their scafs in tribute to those united players ... Red and blue. such a moving moment.

I must say, this was a moment of absolute class from both sides.
The club did so well in the build up to this match with the kits and tribute painted on the east stand. Following United home and away for years and this result still hurts. The players bottled it. I remember coming out of the ground feeling empty. Let’s hope that tomorrow’s game is a proper united performance, especially with it being the closest game to 60 years since Munich.
First and last time i'll say this but total and complete respect to all the City fans that were at that game. Absolutly fantastic they were. Cheers.
Easily one of the most special atmospheres I've ever experienced at Old Trafford, right up there with the end of the Barcelona semi final in 2008

Thank you so much to those Blues who were there. A terrible day and City fans were frankly magnificent.

I am a city fan and watched the game in China as I am working over here, I was dreading the silence as I was sure it would be ruined but I was choked it went how it did, the Chinese people watching were amazed at the silence, something there not used to. ps they went mental when sun jihai came on. I have to take my hat off to the City fans. We know the score regarding big Swifty (Frank Swift) but that aside, I don't think I was alone in thinking that the City fans would heckle during the silence but I was suprised and pleased that they kept silent with the scarves up.
respect to u mate. we may hate each other as rivals but we both know that there are more important things than football in the world, and human life is the most important of all... people who take it that far arent livin in the real world, i struggle to understand the mindset of them people i really do. at the end of the day its just a sport. also...
