@@rav_riffs nah bro i meant it as in polyphia riffs are solos in themselves, and this is the tech death equivalent

then again anything tech death is near a solo
I always loved that riff from culinary hiperversity, the solo following it is crazy too

That's immediately what I thought as well. Glad I'm not crazy.
Culinary HYPERVERSITY. This part always made me think of an Astronaut floating around the ISS and his tether gets cut right as the solo starts
My favorite Necrophagist song. The triplet-blast feel on the drums is unique too.
Sounds like Draculas boss battle in Simon's Quest when you burn his vital organs in sacrifice.
Muhammed is a genius
the guy was amazing. i wish i knew why he stopped playing
This Solo will hit you hard with illusion sound riff while you have great sickness fever or malaria..
That sounds so beautiful and haunting. Boy got skill.
DUDE! I was expecting an unpraised riff on Diminished or Ingominious. But THIS riff on Culinary Hyperversity just before the solo was always one of my favourite Necro sections - it's so different from the rest, and the reverb on the leads make it sound mysterious before the soaring guitar solo!
DEEP. TO TEAR OUT THE REST!
this is why culinary hyper... is underrated, gives me chills 😌
Culinary hyperversity. That solo is amazing 🤘
You certainly like them Xiphos gats!
I see you have Muhammeds xiphos very nice

Great work! One of my favorites for sure!
This is a riff😳
I play this song today, now yt seems to want to suggest this to me even thou I never searched Necrophagist lol
I think we can all appreciate the refreshing absence of a metronome and backtrack. More should be like this. If we wanted to hear the song, not that we wouldn't.. Ha! We can always just do that at any point.
Excellent. I got Necrophagist - Epitaph 15th anniversary vinyl bundle. Thought you may be interested. They sold out in hours and i havent seen one for sale online anywhere since. Daddy needs other records.
The beginning reminds me of Death's "Flesh and The Power It Holds"
close enough
Such a sick band
Beautiful 🤘
Culinary Hyperversity
Reminds me so much of "Flesh and the Power it Holds".. i think Death had to have influence.. tho some of these riffs were prob being written the same time as Sound of Perseverance.. Muhammed is a genius just like Chuck was.. Shred in Peace.
Very Castlevania-esque. Reminds me of Simons quest or at least the begin notes
Sounds like Devin Townsend's riffs
Good choice. My vote goes to the speeding up riff in Ignominious and Pale
clean
that kind of looks like Chuck Schuldiner's guitar but in Jackson.
NP is effing awesome
don't know the musical context but by itself it sounds kind of strange
For me the best their riff is from Fermented Offal Discharge starting from 1:44
Guys i think he likes necrophagist
Reminds me of Bastard Chain by Soilwork
Well played mate! Very clean. How do you get on with your Xiphos? I have (I think) the one you have on the wall and it's still my all time favourite but I did a lot of gigging with it 10 years ago and spent the whole time mentally focused on preventing the neck dive😂
Nice!!
Sounds like v that one nickleback song
Yeah that's the one.
Better than polyphia
necrophetisch riffsh

Death jazz
Legitimately how is that a riff. It has zero actual structure. I love Necro I'm not shittim on the band but that's too much going on for me to call it a riff.

If you hear it in context it makes sense, it doesn’t help that Mohammad plays it with godly precision that hearing anyone do anything less makes it sound like soup
