The fact that people still (over)obsess about Necrophagist even 20 years after 'Onset...' and beg for more just goes to show their music is pretty timeless, just like all great DM albums. I saw them live in 2006 with Bolt Thrower and was hypnotized by their musicianship and ferocity. The band members then were also chill af and friendly. I wish them all the best at what they do. You should start a band called "Lamp of the Desert". Seems to fit with your name :D
romain is one of the most underrated drummers out there
Romain is ridiculous. I really dislike how people discredit him because his ability is simply amazing. I graduated with a bachelors in music education with my major being percussion and this guys hand technique is just so smooth and relaxed it blows my mind. Keep up the good work!
Musically genius. I understand everything that is going on, but the way it is pieced together is a technical masterpiece.
I hereby certify this video as a classic.
This is played so confidently it's amazing. Love it.

This is the best drumming I have ever seen. Amazing.
how can you not like this video. one of my favorite drummers of all time.
diminshed to B is the sickest part
The fact that people still (over)obsess about Necrophagist even 20 years after 'Onset...' and beg for more just goes to show their music is pretty timeless, just like all great DM albums. I saw them live in 2006 with Bolt Thrower and was hypnotized by their musicianship and ferocity. The band members then were also chill af and friendly. I wish them all the best at what they do. Romain has done some crazy good drum work. He's a beast 🤘😎🤘
I love how far back he plays. Fuckin baller.
Still can't believe it, so thankful for this.

There will never be a better tech death metal band than Necrophagist
I'm still waiting.

There is nothing more satisfying than watching drummers blast with their fingers.
clean AF
It's selfish, but I really would like you guys to show up together somewhere with a new CD... soon. I'm tired of waiting :) I can only watch this so many times. KZread will only allow me to like this once.

Got to see this beast with Necrophagist on their last tour (I think), absolutely in a league of their own and Romains performance looked effortless and flawless.

THE SUPER Drumming
He makes it look so easy....😲
amazing!
It's amazing how much travel his sticks get during his blast beats. I also love the double bass work in this song.

this guy is fucking insane
what a badass!!! i am diggin the kit.
I love how this type of drumming sounds so furious but the good drummers make it look effortless
@NecrophagistOfficial What happened to you guys? Why haven't i seen an album out from you guys in a long time?
I dont think they understand what would happen if they all of the sudden came back and started playing again
This guy is really incredible playing!!!
just...insanely ahead of its time and still flawlessly written and executed. i wish necro would come back.
Cleanest most technical cover (or drumming in general) I've ever seen.

There are two options after watching this: you either give up on your drums or work even harder.
Romain is a beast! He's wrists technique is out of this planet!
Definitely amazing. His blast beats on that snare are so damn consistent for those speeds.
It's amazing how he literally uses every piece in the set on a near-constant basis.

Bloody well done!
I have watched this video at least 50 times, and i have been drumming for 10 years now and i still hilariously fail at even air drumming this, now you got clarified how fucking hard this is
Incredible!
AMAZING!!!!
He makes it look so easy!!
Perfect stuff. What I like most,is the fact that Romain's blast's on snare drum are equal in power as his skank beat or any other beat. You can actualy hear it. Really,a lot of practice behind this video. Just look how high his stick goes when he is playing a blast beat. Impressive as Hell!
as a guitarist i always pay attention to necrophagist's guitarwork, but watching this vid i realized the drumming is also really cool!
I've seen many guys wearing necrophagist T-shirts recently. I'm quite impressed dat this band inspires so many metalheads.
Thats so awesome
Brutal sounding cymbal selection
honestly man , that fill at like 1.49 to 1.53 is one of the sweetest fills ever.
I love how his stick comes back to the EXACT same spot during his blast beats. Just fucking perfect.
