@@kitarajaba9154 I'm on the same page. Not to take anything away from Marco, he's a legend and he's one of the top drummers currently alive. It's just that the stuff that Hannes plays is basically the pinnacle of this genre and requires an unbelievable level of dedication to play correctly. I think that, given more time, Marco would have been able to obviously nail the tracks 100 percent, but he was stepping FAR out of his comfort zone as far as playing goes and you can't exactly learn this style of playing overnight. The level of endurance, precision, technical ability and power required are incredibly high. To even go further with this example of comfort zones, Hannes when playing live (gotta emphasize that) with Hate Eternal and playing some of their older catalog, you can tell that playing for loooong extended periods that are just constant blasts, he almost struggles to keep the power (as most would, only a few can truly play with speed and power like that for long periods) on his snare hand. Marco and Hannes are both god tier drummers but they both have their specialties, as do guys like David Diepold, George Kolias or John Longstreth. You switch any of these guys up and make them play with the other guy's band, there will be a bit of a learning curve for them. We're pretty lucky to have such an incredible wealth of drumming talent in this day and it's so rare to see a guy like Marco, who normally plays Fusion, jumping into a death metal band. I loved watching him play with Necrophagist. I know a lot of dudes are stoked about Marco, too, because of his work with Paul Gilbert #endrant

Zyborggian in the album the drummer also throws in some snare rolls a few times that just help that riff just feel so insane
this is what happens when you put a highly qualified mechanical engineer to play death metal.
2:31 pay attention. The solo slowly turned the video from 240p to 1080p. Insane
02:25 what a harmony with drum ...
i wanna cry, solo is soooooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooooooooooooood
This is crazy
2023: 10 years after i first discovered this, i could still cry at how beautiful that solo is
Goddaym that solo is flawless
I think it wouldn't be too far from the truth if I said only Necrophagist could play Necrophagist. Such a damned shame that they don't exist anymore Edit: *Is that fucking Marco Minnemann?!*

I can play Epitaph and Stabwound at %125 speed but I cannot even learn this one. Not that it is the hardest thing to play but when you slow down and study with tabs you will be like "how the hell did you think of that?". Anytime I study this song I become more addicted to it. The riffs and timing are so unique that you just dont get used to it.

Lol I was wondering why it seemed like the group was a little low energy and remembered I still had the speed at .75x from a previous vid. Certainly brings out the cleanliness of the playing.

August 2022. Still waiting for their new album.

Difinitivamente lo mejor del death tecnico una maquina necrophagist
this clip is LEGENDARY
Best vocals ever.
Found on Wikipedia : "Sami uses an Amfisound custom Routa model. He uses ENGL SE's in Necrophagist due to Necrophagist endorsement deal with the company. He uses an ENGL Powerball in Codeon. Having recently become an Ibanez Guitars endorsee, Sami has started using an RG-Series 7 String on stage with Necrophagist. His RG-7 is satin black, with a Lo-Pro Edge tremolo system and active EMG-707 pickups."
So damn sweet. Love this
If you just close your eyes and listen to it,you will feel each and every detail of this masterpiece. Hands down!
I was there!
Beautiful song, Necrophagist is my favorite of all. Very sad to see Muhammed eating ice cream instead of a new album, but hey Muhammed got that ice cream well deserved for Epitaph!
