Simplicity is best that's how Prophet Muhammad SAW and Sahaba lived

Minarets were used earlier so the person calling people to prayer could stand so his voice could reach far...with this design the minate has no use.

I agree! This is a huge FAIL!! It's just not as amazing if was planned to look like that! Take the "leaning tower of Pisa" in Italy for example! It's a world famous landmark because of the story behind it not because some dude planned and built it to look that way!!

Brother. The Muazin won't go on the top of the minaret and say the Azan. He will say from down in a mic , and in the minaret there are loud speakers and the azan goes from there. Use some 🧠 and don't make unnecessary comments

Another scenario where the question has to be asked if it was really the best use of money and talent. I would so much have preferred a mosque cover in greenery, a combination of architecture and nature.

Why would they purposely build it leaning, it seems like they did it to attract tourism which would mean their intention has been corrupted and tampered

You never know, it could be a point of discussion that will open others to learn about Islam. However, this might also be a picture moment rather than the spiritual focus of masjids. People might go there just to take a picture or see the building. Allah knows best.

All I learned about Islam right now, is that you're not even original. It's a very basic plain looking copy of the leaning tower of Pisa. Probably ok for tourists who've never been to Europe.

It's hard to be original, it takes education, culture, brains. Copying is so much easier whatever culture you belong too.

It’d be nice if it curved towards direction of prayer, that would be more good. Otherwise it does to me seem odd, for a masjid to be like that.

I find it's a great addition to the skyline. Plus, it being pointy is an additional bonus as it will inspire fear and respect in the enemies of Qatar. As we all know "round is not scary, pointy is scary". A marvel of architecture. Great idea! Looks terrific!

The tower of Pisa is a piece of art built with marble and has a rich 800 yo history. There wasn't a single chance that a two-bit local architect using mud bricks could even remotely produce anything of similar splendour.

You can't but think immediately of the Leaning tower of Pisa and that some genius actually paid good money to embarass himself and his country by making a copy of it. Kinda puts architectural styles in perspective and warrants a healthy hearty laugh for which I thank the highly original architect and whoever had more money than taste to built this...whatever it is.
