There is something liberating about listening to an artist totally unincumbered by industry bullshit. He still has the hunger of a musician waiting to take centre stage, but with the talent to be that huge star. I think there is something unique to Ren's tough situation which frees him to not care about trends and a lot of tired musical tropes.

Some of what you say is true but the bottom line for labels they don’t care what you produce as long as it sells, whether via records, streaming, concerts etc..,

I love how he ties in lyrics from his other songs and also themes like the pig mask, certain movements that go with a words and other little elements. It sort of entices us in more to him and connects us to his wavelength, even if it’s a different sound, yet we start to feel connected. I think it’s a natural gift to be able to have the ability to attract others into your vibe without forcing it as a performing artist or anything you do. Great reaction 💜

@@elanorfairbairn like in Hi Ren when he brings the guitar back down to himself or the light side of the pendulum, then he stands up when he says because I STAND here beside you today, then in the hunger he talks about the devil again so that’s the dark side of the pendulum and he starts doing all the twitching movements like in HI Ren he’s all over the place with his guitar and movements and then again when he says the pendulum again in the hunger he starts swaying, then after that in the hunger he says the word stand again he pauses still right before he pulls the string on his hood and starts nodding his head almost as if the hood is the noose in HI Ren so he’s always going into the push and pull of that shadow and light of the pendulum but it pops up in other songs too but it’s so much to think about and that’s just how I see it. Also the pig thing but for some reason there’s another song video from the 90s called Animal Nitrate by a band called suede and Animal Nitrate can make you feel as if you’re acting in extreme different ways and he’s always referring the 90s when illness and drugs and mental health started to become more prevalent. I’m wondering if he’s seen the video to that song even though it’s a completely different style of music, it’s like he’s got a bit of sting and Eminem and loads of different artists in his influence and that’s also part of the pendulum he’s talking about. It’s as if we’re all helping each other and relating to each other either our shadow side or light side because we all get influenced in different ways whilst trying to see who we are.

The words on the captions are wrong SO much of the time, which I hope you noticed. It'll just make no sense when you read them. Ren's words are different than what they show. Ren always includes his lyrics. I suggest reading a bit of the words ahead of time, then listen to that section, and repeat... Glad you appreciate his style and talent! Great reaction! :)

Several reactors I've watched have had the lyrics on a second monitor/ipad or phone so at least when they're attempting to discuss a bar or section of rap they're getting the right words... However its whatever you feel comfortable with... 👍

I think why people say "don't use subtitles" is because they're fucking shite, always wrong and they usually come up before the actual rap🙄 Case in point (and that's just via the end) 'Larry' instead of *Larynx?* and 'bleep' instead of *Bleak* ...just don't bother with them as whoever did the subtitles just couldn't be arsed to head over to RENs page, where he bloody posts his own lyrics anyway🤦‍♂

I love NF and what he does. But to me, Ren is on a whole different level ability wise. Actually I know he is. But, NF is the same in many of the ways the ren is as a person and his mindset. The desire to be himself and change the music seen. Separately, rhey ae both geniuses. Just think ren is a once in a life time artist talent wise
