I’m genuinely not sure how I haven’t come across you before (or at least don’t remember doing so) when I’ve obsessively consumed any and all Sleep Token content for how long?? I really love your analysis and input, it’s very insightful and in the same vein of how I’ve always interpreted their art. Instant subscribe <3

I think the core of Blood Sport is in the meaning of the words "Blood Sport"... the relationship is comparable to a 'death by a thousand cuts' - the relationship is failing/failed, he recognizes the pain it renders, but he doesn't want to stop (as in the line 'so let's play'). Great review Stephen, I'm glad I found your channel... there are plenty of music or vocal analysts but you're the only one I found that talks about the content of the lyrics... the ideas behind the music. I really appreciate it.

I love your reactions and your honesty…. There is someone who appreciates a man with a big heart and doesn’t mind if he wears it on his sleeve. I think you’re amazing.

The fact that this is how they choose to end this album 😩😩 (not including the missing limbs epilogue) is just so telling to the emotional reality of his world. This is my favorite album and I find that most people tend to choose one of the others as their favorite over this one, but I have a theory that people who have viscerally experienced darkness and pain in their life… choose this album as their favorite of the three. There is pain being explored in all of the albums, yes, but the Tomb album TRULY embodies some of the deepest, most shadowy aspects of human pain. 🥺💔

I love NF and what he does. But to me, Ren is on a whole different level ability wise. Actually I know he is. But, NF is the same in many of the ways the ren is as a person and his mindset. The desire to be himself and change the music seen. Separately, rhey ae both geniuses. Just think ren is a once in a life time artist talent wise

I don’t know about you, but I could listen to him implementing the word “pendulum” into every bar. Not really, but his use of it is brilliant every time. This song is so sic. 😊

He's not bitchin, this is how it is. He's just trying to spread understanding. This is what a good man sacrifices ,all the time at every opportunity we protect, provide and produce. We would like some comfort and support in the home in exchange, and dare I say, a sandwich.

My favourite thing about sleep token is they are masters at letting the instruments speak, after the last verse, the instruments let you feel the intensity of what he said and let's it sink in

It's a man's job to be stoic for our women and children. Instead of holding it in real men must understand that only God is happy to take our burdens so we can continue to help protect his/us children.

This song broke me the first time i heard it. I have three sons that are grown men now. Not only does this hit me for what I have gone through as a man but knowing what my sons will go through as well as they progress through life. I wish i could protect them from it all. Such an incredible song as it hits so hard as to exactly what a man goes through every damn day.
