Now that's a tutorial. Nothing but the steps, no BS, right to the point. Took my deck off late October so it wasn't getting drug around in snow with my plow on and forgot how it hooked back up. The anti sway bar was giving my issues of where its location was. Appreciate your video! Thanks a ton.

We have the same tractor. The only problem is the mower deck height. The tractor frame underneath butts up on the mower deck. The lever on top is two rungs from the top. I will try again in the spring but i remember that it wont go that high for the tough brush. It does cut grass okay but it is the dam height we are having trouble with.

I don't like the design of the mower deck mounting system. But they all seem pretty similar. My only problem isn't that big of a problem. It just cuts unevenly... leaves a washboard look on the lawn. I use a bigger tractor for cutting brush in the rough.

i have a 2017 g8600 pro series craftsman with 54" deck. would i be able to put a smaller deck on the tractor as i dont want a 54" deck. how would i find a good match for this tractor, model 27047. i prefer 42, 44, 46. nothing over 46" deck. was hoping to find another mtd tractor and swap out decks. thanks for any help

Any suggestions on how the belts on these 54” Craftsman go back on? Had mine come off and can’t figure out how to get it back on

First, release the belt tensioner. My video shows how to do that. Then, at least on my tractor, there's a label with a diagram of my belt's correct path around all the pulleys. Use that as a guide. I see. No. It appears they're intended to prevent the bar from going past that point. So they don't go through the hole.

"Hey, thanks for the video I've been looking for something like this. I have a question about my belt tensioner. Everything moves as it should but it has no tension. I cant quite see the whole assembly because you have the belt shroud on yours. But I'm not sure what I'm missing on my tractor. Any help or advice would help a lot. I have a 2004 54 inch 26hp kohler. First, thank you for watching! I'm happy to know my videos are helpful. My reply to the question is that there's a diagram on the bottom left side of my tractor, that shows the way the mower drive belt runs around all the pulleys and tensioner. That would be the first place I'd suggest looking. If it's not there, there are belt diagrams in the Operators Manual, and the Repair Parts Manual. If you want to email me your email address, I can send photos of those pages.

What belt model and size are you using?

Would be great if you showed the actual deck/ belt pattern instead of just how to take it off and put it on
