It’s not fair for her to be in a competition with her much much much younger and less experienced juniors. Just to let you know, if you didn't know, coming from an Asian. ASIANS COME IN ALL COLORS NATURALLY. THEY CAN TAN AND UN-TAN EASILY. I was born quite fair (like white people) but because I live very close to the equator, I have a light tan. However, other ppl can be born very tanned or tan a lot, like my dad's skin color matches that of an average black person (he was also born fair) and my mom (also born fair) has maintained her fair complexion up till now. So maybe Jessi doesn't fake tan

She explained it on the show Sister's Slam Dunk, ep 17. But the story goes: She went to Korea at age 14 and debut as Jessica Ho at 15 but then was put on hiatus for being too young/underaged without her parents. She went back and forth from US to Korea. She debut again in 2009, but I think her company wasnt doing well so she would practice in karaoke rooms. She decided to come back in 2014 rebranding herseld as Jessi. Then she got asked to be on Unpretty Rap Star in which she famously says how can they compare themselves to her. She actually meant she was on and off for 10 years but still a Senior compared to the rookies on the show. She had a rough career, but its good to see her back and stronger than ever.
