@@lemortedbrian6070 This video was literally the perfect example of how she does NOT get triggered at everything and turn every word into a fight. However, everyone else IS getting triggered by her words. She's blunt and uses swear words., that's it. But that does not equate to a bad person. I use swear words in my speech as well but it does NOT come from a place of malice. Swear words have been, for a while, used as synonyms for other words like 'very'. I can understand why people may think she keeps trying to start fights. How one culture understands a sentence may be completely different from how another culture understands it. For Jessi, who made a very standard comeback for Americans when talking about pulling her earrings, she may appear to be starting a fight to Koreans. In the past, I did not like Jessi either because of her frankness towards a singer I liked. However, taking a step back, I understood her opinion and have found her to be a very kind person who speaks the truth on her mind with no filters. All this being said and with all due respect, you were clearly exaggerating. And just because everybody here worships her, does not mean she has no haters, which is clear looking at the reputation SK has given her and you. LOL pretty fucking funny calling yourself the voice of reason if you ask me

Like they said in here; Jessi has that American vibe because she wasn't raised with the principles of South Korean culture and views; I really love her for that though. People misunderstand her attitude because they aren't exposed to it. The first show I actually saw her on was Running Man when she appeared as a guest. She is not a bitch; she is just who she is because of where she was raised and influenced. I'm glad she's getting showered with attention and love from fans now. She's fresh meat from the stereotypical KPOP Idol in the Entertainment world.

It seems there is a degree of similarity with the culture of Japan. Japan is obsessed with honor, respect and humility. Being frank, overconfident, outspoken, and assertive is seen as an undesirable trait and is frowned upon especially if its from a female. This is the reason why old Japanese citizens are hostile and dismissive to foreigners especially coming from the West.

I kind of hate the way they get offended with every single word Jessi spits out. They were talking shit about her earrings and then she gave an answer to their level. but then they make her look angry and bad. doesn't she have the right to say something? they were clearly provoking her. and then she talks about that guy's clothes, trying to explain something with an example, and then he gets offended! she didn't say it looked bad or whatever. she was trying to make a point. I guess koreans just have a hard time handling women with opinions and attitude.

Jessi will let you know exactly how she's feeling and most times, celebs don't do this out of fear of being seen as rude.

How they constantly say Jessi is "aggressive" and "angry," painting her in a more violent image than she actually is. Anyone with a brain can see that Jessi is expressive and authentically herself, while working in a super conservative culture. She's a big target because she's "outspoken" but she won't back down and even tho people love to point out how often she curses, she has better moral integrity than most of the men in this circle.
