Hello all. It has been brought to my attention the seam on the canopy is correct. My mistake. I actually double checked it and still missed it lol.

I personally like a brutally honest review , that’s why I watch kit reviews so I know to buy a kit or not , awesome job mate

I bought this kit along with 1/35 Leopard I from local tamiya store 2 months before you reviewed because it on sale 30% off for both. Even though it is not great but I hope it will be my teacher for me to practice before I move to better kit in the future.

Tamiya have a long history of reboxing Italeri kits to fill gaps in their 1/72 aircraft range. It is disappointing if you weren't expecting it.

If it's not a Zero, Mustang, Corsair or 109 then you can pretty much assume if it's 1/72 Tamiya it's an Italeri rebox. Buyer needs to be seriously aware. Cool review. Cheers

@@andrewsartscalemodels 1/72 isn't my scale these days. But I was been enticed by a "new" 1/72 Ju-88 or Ju-87 only to find they were reboxes of the Italeri kits. The only kits Tamiya seem to make themselves are Zeros, Corsairs, Mustangs and 109s... oh and F-16. Check out the Revell 1/72 Grippen over on Scale Model Aircraft- bloody brill.

i am pleased you did. these models need outing and tamiya need a wake up call for doing it, i can see a few bits for the spares box, but otherwise i would have given it to the charity shop..cheers good review of a shoddy kit..

I built the "original" Italeri version. I polished that seamline on the canopy for hours. It was annoying, to say the least ... You know what was even more annoying? When I realized, that's not a seamline, that's the detonation cord ...

I don't think you are being unfair and I am very surprised that Tamiya did this. Tamiya have always been high on my list of quality kits to buy. Nice to get a heads up and we can then make informed choices. Not all reviewers are that honest especially if kits are sent to them!!
