Thanks mate. I did forget to mention the lack of detail on the muzzel brake. It is really one of the few things that lets this kit down.
Nice kit and review mate. I think I might have to try a 1/72 armour build. You have been busy this week. Look forward to more....

thanks mate. yeah 1 review a day for every day in "Kittember" :-) Sounded like a good idea at the time lol
Hi Andrew not sure if they are still available, but Trumpeters first 1/72nd model was also a Ferdy, they released an elephant just after it. They are super detailed kits I was blown away at the detail. Would make a good comparison to this one. (My initial Elephant (an ESCI one form the 70's) suddenly looked odd!

ESCI. Didn't know they made one.
Hi Andrew - Zvezdas Ferdinad is made after the Kubnika Ferdinand, they have the Ferdinand how it looked basicly at day one of its combat deployment. That one was a member of the s.Pz.Jg.Abt. 654 - not 653 that's why you don't get the markings you were looking for. (Got both on my channel) It looks like they scaled down their 1/35th Ferdinand to begin with, a very good kit btw. If that's what 1/72 kits are looking like nowadays, I'm impressed!
