Theres something not quite right about somebody wanting to sit by a river on a winter night!!😂 But its absolutely addictive. You'd enjoy fly fishing on a summer night for these guys, slowly working the fly round in the current, waiting for that arm wrenching pull that comes out of nowhere! Totally reliant on your sense of touch and hearing. Magical! Very well conditioned chub 😊👍

That does sound like fun, I've done a bit of sea trout fishing through the night but the takes were much more subtle. Close season mission. Do more fly fishing.

Tbh my chub night fly fishing doubles as sea trout night fishing, whatever I can tempt is the target 😂 only difference is the licence! Do you chase sea trout in Kent? Some big fish in the stour and Sussex ouse I believe

I was quite surprised it was a 4, I thought it may have pushed 5lb as it was quite broad. But great to see them in such fine fetal.

I find river banks tricky enough in full daylight so I’m in awe of you in the pitch black managing to catch such wonderful chub - thanks for another great video.

@@PaulVicaryfishing it's hard enough catching chub on small streams like the Eden as it is. The 4 pounder though was worth it. I fished from Hever to Vexor for 30 years and only caught one that big... Why don't you do some floating crust videos in July..
