Oh Gail the awening...? Wonderful!!! That motor mover thingy was FANTASTIC!!! I was always worried about negotiating the van to the car, but this is another level!!!! The fabric boxes are amazing... well sought out. What the??? The TV blew up? You couldnt write this stuff I guess it turned out to be the cosiest camping eh??? Lucky campers. Told you you'd LOVE IT!! Edit: The bunting just finishes it all off nicely. Gorgeous!! Why is it called a drive thru awening?

Gail turned out to be the perfect name for that awning 🤣. It's actually a drive away awning as it's designed for camper vans , so you can zip it up then unclip it.from the awning rail and leave it freestanding when you want drive off site for a day out. They just happen to be lower in height which suits jetstream and microlight caravans. Isn't the motor mover amazing! We got a funny look from.a chap with.a massive caravan, but you know what, being able to remote control into position just removed so.much physical stress from Chris which is what this is all about! You called it, we absolutely loved it! Getting those storage boxes spot on was my highlight 🤣 Oh and yes we bought a dead cheap TV and it just died on the first outing 🤣

I've never seen a motor mover, those things are handy little things! My dad would have loved to have one of those! Mum and dad went camping quite a lot for a while, dad was always swearing at the camper while trying to set it up lol What a way to break in the new camper! Don't go too far, get every kind of weather tossed at you, and soaked to the bone Pip is like "You did this all for me? This is awesome!" 🐩 27:25 Lol, two clumsy guys and their dog, in a camper, in wild weather makes for a great travel adventure video! 😍 I love how you've decorated too! It looks so cozy in there, and at night the lights add to the ambiance ☺ Aw Chris! 🤣 "I'm coming out!" Adorable! Are you going to add to the bum[er sticker collection on the back of the camper? 😁 I have to admit, I feel a bit ripped off 🤔your weather is better than mine, even though you're a higher latitude than I am? Does the ocean keep you warmer there? I would think you would have more snow than I get here (our average is about 147cm (I think I converted that right?) of snow per winter. I live west of Lake Superior, so we do get a little bit of the lake effect snow sometimes. Pip's sleep roll-over at the end of the video 😍🐩 Carry on caravaning! 🥰😃Love you all, and thank you for sharing such a fun trip!

Neither did I! It was only when we started researching! I can't help Chris at all really, not without risking payback, and Chris can't move it alone, even this small van is a struggle , when the ground isn't even or it's on gravel, and with his health it just made sense to make this as easy as possible, so when we saw this van came with the motor.mover, it's one of the things that swayed us to go over our budget! It was so nice and stress free to be able to just stand there and use a remote control!!!

I always remember when we were kids on holiday in our Tourer for a Easter Break, We played in the park all day, had A chippie tea, Went to the Club house and watched the entertainment, ( Shorts and T shirt weather, ) on the Sunday morning my Mam tried to open the caravan door to go get some fresh bread at the camp shop, the door wouldn't open, My Dad tried and it literally wouldn't budge... We look out the windows and the snow is about 2 foot deep outside and all the caravaners were looking out their windows laughing, We all were shouting "Help" and laughing so much, the dads trying to climb out the windows to get rid of the snow, its a memory I won't ever forget!!!!!!!!. Love your little van, I'm sure you will make tons of memories in her, yet you will never forget Snowgate! x

I just love that caravan. from the way it looks it's one big piece of fiberglass that they molded it's awesome. can you tell me how many feet is your adorable caravan? also I just want to say this is a two-timer watch. I'm going to watch it again today even though I watched the whole thing. it's just so amazingly beautiful where you go out to. when we go to a campground it's nothing like what you showed. everybody's right next to each other it's just a whole different vibe. what I would love to see next time is for you guys to video the surrounding landscape and trees and all the nature that you are in. For such a little space it is amazing this caravan. my questions are do you have a toilet? There are so many new types of toilets out there composting toilets and all these different ones for small caravans like you have. Now as you know in the United States we don't call it a caravan we call it a trailer, because a trailer is something that you tow behind you. now when I was going all over America I've had four motorhomes and that's the easiest to me I never wanted a trailer because I was living full time in the motorhome that way you just hop in front and you drive it with you and it's very simple. There are so many things I'd love to know regarding where you go camping in other words is there water there, are you hooked up to electricity? if not do you understand your batteries and how they work. you know there's so much really to using some type of RV = recreational vehicle. There's a lot to know like battery power solar power, how do you guys keep the things that you use available to use? One more thing I just want to add is whenever I took my dogs in the snow I said dogs plural I only always have one dog which is my service dog, and they wear boots because small dogs really can hurt their paws in snow..thank you for taking us along and I'm so happy it was a long video and I can't wait to watch it again and take it all in one more time. I think it's hilarious but absolutely smart and wise to have your sheet of paper that is laminated giving you the step-by-step instructions and after a while of course you won't need that because you're going to be professional campers. please give Chris a big hug tell him I said hi and tell Pip Mister Pip he is a beautiful little poodle. I will leave another comment when I watch it the second time. I don't know if I told you but my motorhome got totaled. I was in reverse and thought I was in drive and I reversed my amazing motorhome that I was living in by the beach right into a massive telephone pole. I knew when I heard the sound that I had totaled the entire back and indeed I did. so now I'm living in an unassisted independent living situation up in the hills here in Southern California, which is a whole trip in itself. A lot of challenges. Unfortunately Finn as you know this disease we have can get really bad. and whats starting to happen to me now is my skin. My polyneuropathy is so fierce in my hands that out of nowhere sores just come up and I can barely touch my skin. As we know this is no joke at all this is a serious illness and I'm just now in a place where the pain is getting so severe that I am going to be hopefully getting palliative care so I can be more comfortable. and as you know we have to grieve these things we've lost and for me living in my motorhome and being able to just travel anywhere at the spur of a moment is something I will never be able to do again., and all in all I was a nomad for 20 years and that part is over now😢❤️‍🩹 I love you and if you would not mind can you please tell me what you're going through regarding your ME/CFS I really want to know. ❤

Isn't Bluebell wonderful! This is the perfect van for us and will give us so many stress free adventures. To answer your questions....(they are great!) ...I'll pop them in the next vlog but here are the basic answers for you now These Freedoms are originally from Poland and are now made in the UK but stick to the original design. You are right that it's one big moulded piece of fibreglass and being made that way means they don't have the issues with leaks. They make the microlite, which is the smallest model, as well as the Jetstream which we have, and the sunseeker which are slightly bigger. Our Jetstream is 3.1 meters long inside the van, total length including the towing frame is 4.26 meters. It's 2.3 meters wide and 2.46 meters high This van would originally have had a shower room with a toilet, sink and shower but the previous owner removed it. We didn't mind that as we prefer having the addiitional storage space as we use the site facilities when we camp anyway. Id struggle to shower in such a tiny van! With the toilet, we do have a porta loo, but we've never used it. It's too much of a faff with all the chemicals and emptying it. We actually use a large fabric softer bottle to wee in! Then we just take it to the toilet to empty and then wash it out and use pet enzyme spray to disinfect it and get rid of any smell. For number twos we use the facilities. Chris just drives me in then car if the weather isn't great or I'm tired We hook up to electricity on site and everything apart from the cooker runs off that. We can run the fridge off gas as well and We do have a leisure battery which we don't yet understand! We need to learn! Our campsites are really lovely. We are members of the camping and caravanning club and all their sites are really nice. They don't cram you in like some sites do, they are always really beautiful and the facilities are clean and tidy. We are away again over the may bank holiday and I will film our site surroundings for you It's funny how things are named differently, trailers here mean trailer tents, like what we used to have. Re Pip, we don't have enough snow to really need special shoes. That was so very rare. I also don't think he'd let us put shoes on him ! But I am going to have a look! We love the idea of a motor home, but the trouble would be then having to use it as a daily car as we'd never be able to afford two vehicles. We also like that with a caravan, you can just pitch up and then use your can to travel around the area. I'm so sorry you had to say goodbye to your motorhome, the sadness that comes with this illness is devastating, the things it takes from us. I really hope you are settling into your new place and finding happiness there I don't mind sharing what I'm going with you with my ME/CFS at all. I think I'm going to do an update vlog. Perhaps I'll do my entire ME story from beginning to now? As an update for you for right now, currently I'm in a tricky place fatigue wise. I tip over into near crash state very easily, and that's been the case since I started the prednisolone (steroids) for the Polymyalgia Rhumatica in February,.but at least the pain my arms is less! I've also had an MRI which has revealed l have severe disc degeneration/spinal stenosis in my neck so I'm waiting to see a neurosurgeon to see what can be done. I'm having a lot of issues with my heart, switching between tachycardia and brachycardia with lots of flutters and palpitations. This is mostly to do with Pots/orthostatic intolerance that runs alongside my ME/CFS. I also have constant headache/migraines too. This is the main stuff but I will do a vlog catch up soon. It's so tough to balance all this but prioritising life over work is helping a lot. This caravan is certainly going to give us both a ton of joy, and give me so many good memories to live on when I'm poorly and struggling. We are going away again in a couple of weeks so we will soon be those proffessional campers you talk about 🤣. We will be throwing away those instructions in no time! Now I've left you an essay to read ! Sending you a ton of love and hugs from me and Chris and a sniff and nuzzle from Pip!
